CANCER FOUNDATION IN
EARLY DETECTION PROGRAM

The Indonesian Cancer Foundation (ICF)
was founded in Jakarta on 17 April 1977.
The ICF is a non-governmental organization
with the purpose to support the Government
of Indonesia in its efforts to fight cancer, by
taking promotional, preventive, and
supportive activities.

SOCIAL SERVICES
Several activities in this department :
Establishment of Sasana Marsudi Husada in 1982
located at Jl.Lebak Bulus Tengah no.9 Cilandak-Jakarta,
a hostel to accommodate outpatients coming to Jakarta
for treatment.
Early Detection Center of Cancer with Papsmear, USG
and Mammography facility.
Provision of free cytostatic drug (1987).
Distribution of cytostatic drugs with nett price (1990).
Hospice Home Care program in the form of
home visits for terminal stage cancer patients
(1996).
Reach to Recovery program adopted from UICC
for Breast Cancer Survivors (1997).
Indonesian Ostomy Association (InOA) was
established for stoma patients. The InOA is a
member of the International Ostomy Association
(2000).
Women’s Care of Cervical Cancer, for supporting
cervical cancer patients( December 2007).
Activities related to breast cancer :
Since 1977 :
• Public education on Breast Self Examination
• Distribute leaflet of Breast Self Examination and
Flipchart to all the ICF’s branches.
