Introduction:
Dabur India Ltd is the fourth largest FMCG company with a
Pharmaceutical branch, Dabur Pharma Ltd. Dabur India Limited has
bagged a number of significant achievements till date and commands a
high market leadership status. They owe their success to dedication,
nature, corporate and process hygiene, dynamic leadership and
commitment to their partners and stakeholders.

Policies:

Direct touch
(Whistle blower and protection policy)
“Encouraging employees and business associates to report unethical
business practices at workplace without fear of reprisal.”

Purpose of this policy is to:


• To encourage the employees and the business associates to report
against unethical behaviour, malpractice, wrongful conduct, fraud,
violation of the Company’s Policies including Code of Ethics and
Conduct by any employee/director in the company.
• To ensure timely and consistent organizational response and
thereby ensuring complete transparency in the organization.
• To prohibit initiation of adverse action against an employee or
business associate or failing to take an otherwise appropriate
action, as a result of the employee’s good faith disclosure of
alleged wrongful conduct to the Direct Touch Team.
• To build and strengthen a culture of transparency and trust in the
organization.

Dividend policy:
It says that dividend shall be paid only out of –
• Current year’s profit
• Profits for any previous financial year
• Both

Before declaring any dividends, the loses, if any for the previous financial
year should be set off against the profits of the company for the current or
previous year.
Board should avoid the declaration of the dividend out of reserves.

Code of ethics and conduct:
“A commitment to ethical professional conduct from every employee of
Dabur.”
The code is intended to serve as a basis for ethical decision-making in the
conduct of professional work. It may also serve as a basis for judging the
merit of a formal complaint pertaining to violation of professional ethical
standards.

CHD (Consumer Health Division)


This is one of the two major divisions of Dabur which deals with classical
Ayurvedic medicines.

 This division manufactures over 250 products which are sold through
prescriptions as well as over the counter.
 Major categories in traditional formulations include:
- Asav Arishtas
- Ras Rasayanas
- Churnas
- Medicated Oils
 Division also works for promotion of Ayurveda through organised
community of traditional practitioners and developing fresh batches
of students.

Ayurvedic medicines developed by Dabur include:

Dabur Back-aid

Dabur Back-aid has a unique FIT System (Formula for Intensive


Treatment) that penetrates deep into the muscle to reach the source of the
pain. And provide assured relief from backaches.

Dabur Balm-

headache, cold and sprains. Its quick and effective pain remedy is
enriched with pudina (mint), karpoor (camphor), Eucalyptus oil and other

Bronchorid-

Broncorid is a unique herbal combination of drugs, which manifests Anti

Dabur sat-isabgol-

the natural laxative for relief from constipation and diarrhoea. It has

HR practices in dabur-

Recruitment-
Recruitment is an integral and ongoing process in any organization. The
HR department of Dabur has a team of 7-8 people in all. The HR people
in Dabur are not recruited through campus placements but through lateral
recruiting i,e people who have a working experience of 4-6 years are
recruited to be HR officials. People for other departments (marketing,
finance etc.) are recruited under management trainee/engineering trainee
program through campus placements from top 10 institutes of the country
- IIMs for example.

Training program-
Young manager’s development program is a program for the
management trainee and engineer trainees.
Objectives of YMDP
• To groom managers of tomorrow

Features
1. The YMDP has a structured approach and a fixed training
schedule to standardize the training processes and systems.
2. The YMDP has focused core functional training to develop a
sound conceptual foundation for the trainees.
3. Cross-functional exposure is an integral component of this
programme to develop a better sense of interfunctional
interlinkages.
4. Projects are an important focus area in the YMDP. The purpose of
this being to develop a better understanding of Dabur’s business
among trainees by ensuring that they utilize their training
experience, cross-functional exposure and business concepts in
providing practical solution to real business problems.
5. Classroom training provides YMDP Sales & Marketing trainees
with sound conceptual inputs regarding their core functional area
and also acts as a forum for them to exchange their experiences
and ideas.
6. On-job-training exposes the YMDP trainees to real life business
situations along with actual responsibilities and authority to
handle them.
7. Presentations provide a summary of conceptual knowledge
acquired by trainees during training.
