Parents of the Stars.....

Team dinners will begin on November 17th. We will have 6 dinners during the regular season and then
will schedule as appropriate during the play-offs. Each family is assigned to one of the dinners. If you are
unable to make your assigned date, please arrange a trade with another family. If you are not able to
help on the evening of your dinner, you may arrange to make something ahead and deliver it to the lead
family or, if enough people are preparing the meal, you can offer to pay for your share instead. The cost
could range from $25-$35 per family. Remember your child is eating 6 meals. It is greatly appreciated by
each of them!

The first family listed is the lead family for that date. The lead family should contact each family on your
list by phone or e-mail to organize your dinner. Each group decides on its own menu including beverages
(usually water and milk). We try to have a relatively healthy meal. We've had everything from sub-
sandwiches to tacos to lasagna to broasted chicken. You will be feeding 32 players and up to 5 coaches.
I have been made aware of a food allergy for one of the players. It includes all nuts and nut related
products. This is especially important to remember in planning your dessert menu!

NOTE: The food allergy list for team members includes all forms of nuts, nut oils and related
products (peanut butter). Thank you for your sensitivity to these allergies as you prepare your
dishes.
Please plan to arrive at Xavier High School by 4:15 pm to set-up and be ready to serve the meal at 5:00
pm. Your meal should already be cooked and hot. There are ovens to keep items warm. You may arrive
earlier if you need to do some prep work ahead of time. Arrive at the main entrance in the circle. We will
be using the Xavier foods room to prepare and serve the meal with the team eating in the commons. It is
located on the back side of the cafeteria/commons, next to the kitchen. Clean-up will also be required.
Paper plates, cups, utensils and napkins will be provided by the team. You should plan on being there no
later than 6:15 pm.

The supplies will be in a rubbermaid container and will be in the room for you. When you are finished,
please send the container home with Jack Gloss or Max Mantey if Jack is not available.

Thank you to everyone for pitching in to prepare and serve these meals! It is wonderful to see the
players interacting and getting to know each other better when they are off the ice!
