DECEMBER
2010 Baptism
th
On December 12 there will be a baptism service.
Baptism preparation is led by Karol Siewier

Baptism in water is a public confession of faith in the

Lord Jesus Christ.
Baptism is possible due to the fulfillment of the condition of an honest and con-
cious surrender of Your life to Christ according to the Word of God.
Baptism in the New Testament is complete immersion in water. Immersion sym-
bolizes death to the old way of living and emerging from the water symbolizes
rising to the new life in Christ. In this way we confess our faith in the death of
Jesus Christ on the cross and His ressurection for us—personally. The message
to the whole spiritual and physical world is—i belong to Jesus Christ.
Baptism is a celebration of the whole church and the public confession of faith is
our greatest privilege: Mat 10.32 „Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will
also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.”
Reading the letter of the Apostle Paul to Romans 6.3-11 is the best explanation
of the reasons and purpose of baptism:
„3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were bapti-
zed into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into
death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of
www.kcdw.szczecin.pl the Father, we too may live a new life. 5 For if we have been united with him in a
death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6
For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin
might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7 because
ul. Bohaterów Warszawy 26 anyone who has died has been set free from sin. 8 Now if we died with Christ, we
70-340 Szczecin believe that we will also live with him. 9 For we know that
since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die aga-

in; death no longer has mastery over him. 10 The death he

A few of us from church have recently started an Alpha course. The Alpha
course is a 10 week course aimed mainly at non-Christians who would like
an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a non-threatening environ-
ment. We begin the evening with a meal and then watch a video of Nicky Gum-
bel speaking on some aspect of Christianity. Last week the topic was “Who is
Jesus”. After a short coffee break, we join together for a time of open and ho-
nest discussion. We begin with some ice breakers and fun games to help us le-
arn each others names, and then go into getting reactions about the video. The
conversation is allowed to pretty much go where it wants, with last night us
touching on subjects like, other religions, Christianity compared to Muslim and
Hinduism, the Pope, is there such a thing as destiny, and so on. Of those who
are coming to the course, some are students, some working and there is even
one older guy who is retired. It is amazing how they accept, enjoy and include
each other. It is exciting to see God at work and we value your prayers in this.

I Kor. 3,16

I don’t know how about you, but for me reading of the Old Testament
comes harder than reading the New Testament. Especially reading
the Five books of Moses and the chapters with the description of buil-
ding of the temples. Fourty cubits here, twenty there, this colour here
and a diffrent one somewhere else.
I don’t have so much imagination to see this building so it was just sim-
ply boring for me. Last time when I was reading the instruction of buil-
ding the first temple, I was nearly falling asleep when I remembered the
verse from the first letter to Corinthians: „„Don’t you know that you your-
selves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?” I ca-
me to my senses at once. Do You know, that with the same diligence and accuracy as in the temple, God has
planned each one of us?
I knew i could be a temple of the Spirit if I live in the right way, I never doubted it. But so thoroughly God plan-
ned who i am, my inside and out, the colour of my eyes, hairs, skin and all those things that I sometimes compla-
in about.
God is amazing, that he gave us free will. If I had created „something” with so much accuracy i would be sorry if
the building was wasted. If it wasted from the inside, because didn’t wanted me to refresh it, repaint and some-
times refurbish it. Because who knows better what the building should look like or what it should be filled with
than the architect? Who knows better where is the best place for it is? Let’s not forget about God in making our
everyday decisions, and let’s not complain about the way we are, because Our Daddy created us perfectly.
Let’s ask Him to refresh us, refurbish and rebuild us according to His will. Do not waste ourselfes. Only arranged
by Him we can truly feel good about ourselfs and thus others will feel better with us.

C hristmas really is the best of times! We love the candles and mi-
stletoe, the smell of pine cones, mulled wine and cinnamon. Wa-
tching the snow falling gently outside though steamed up windows,
while inside the children’s gleeful faces are lit up by the flames from the
open fire. But it was probably not so romantic for Joseph and Ma-
ry! Everything had happened so quickly and now they found themselves holed up in a smelly draftee
and not so warm stable awaiting the imminent arrival of their new born. It seemed so unfitting to
greet one to be called Immanuel in such a humble place. Here was no mistletoe, no mulled wine, no
warm mittens. Rather Jesus was born in a dusty hovel with straw on the ground and indiscreet drop-
pings from the neighbouring cattle. But as the years go by, we begin to learn that this is just where
Jesus meets us. He seems to visit us in the humble places, the messes in our lives. He meets us where
we are, in the untidiness, in the clutter and confusion, in those places in which we are not so proud.
He really is Immanuel, “God with us”. He is the light of the world that shines in the dark places. And
the darkness has not overcome it.

Paul’s role was special, but Yours is also important

L ets say that you don’t know what your gifts are, and you do not
know how you can serve in our community. I suggest you ask yourself
four questions.

First of all „What needs do people have in our congregation?” It is very

possible, that You can see some certain needs that other people don’t
see. When each one of us asks himself this question, we will get many
diffrent answers. Each one of us is aware of various needs.

The second question is „What can I do to serve people in their needs?” We all have diffrent skills and possibilities. When
You see a need, get involved and do what You can to help. Whenever You have the opportunity to do good, do it.

The third one is „What do I want for my chuch?” I think, that very often our desires shows which gifts we have i.e. a Person
who has a gift of prophecy will feel the desire for people to listen to The Word of God. One of the gifts described in the I-st
Corinthians is the gift of management. Tha man who has the gift of management desire to see the church well organized
with a schedule for cleaning or for the Sunday School. He will want everyone to serve according to the plan. So if You do
not know what are your spiritual gifts, I suggest you to analize your desires.

The fourth question you should ask yourself is „What are my skills?” If you can design a website but you can not sing or
play the instruments then probably you should serve God by desi-
gning a christian websites and not by leading a worship in a
I Asked the Loard to Bless You…
church. If you do not know how to serve in our community
ask yourself „What are my skills?”

Paul’s role was special, but Yours is also important. If you

are a Christian, we need You. We ask You to get involved
and carry out your role in the church. For some time it is ok
to only come for the service and listen, but when God ma-
kes You a Christian then You can not only be a listener.

I asked the Lord to bless you

As I prayed for you today
To guide you and protect you
As you go along your way

His love is always with you

His promises are true
And when we give Him all our cares
You know He will see us through

So when the road you're traveling on

Seems difficult at best
Just remember I'm here praying
and
GOD WILL DO THE REST

November events
On the 6th and 7th David Pierce has hosted a seminnar entitled „Creative Evangelisation” with concerts by Mate.O and
Matijn Krale—Frühstück

Besides Szczecin David Pierce visited Gdańsk, Gliwice, Rybnik, Kraków, Kato-
wice, Chorzów, Warszawa, Lublin and all this happend between 5th and 15th
of november.

It was a wonderful time for several days, each day in a diffrent city. From the
north to the west then the center of Poland and at the end the east borders.
How many people have listened? I think a lot more than 800.

One thing was common for all these places. Everywhere people with the sa-
me excitment accepted Davids message. It was great.

Apparently „street evangelisation” is not working, however after 5 maybe 7 minutes

of David talking and look at this.... These people were really touched, i was next to
them. Gdaosk KCHWE "Armia Dawida"

Sunday School events
Sunday School Classes is not only learning
about God. Although it is always the most
important thing. But we can learn many
amazing thing about God not only from bo-
oks, but when we are together and we do
something together. That is when we can
use in practice the things that we learn in
Sunday School.

The Bible says that we shoul speak like David, who wrote in
Psalm 119:
102
I have not departed from your laws,
for you yourself have taught me.
103
How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!
104
I gain understanding from your precepts;
therefore I hate every wrong path.
To remember, that Gods Word is like honey on our mouth

Christmas surprise 2010

Since December 2002 we as a community have been taking part in „Operation Chri-
stmas Child” which is an international project of the organization Samaritan’s Purse,
whose goal is to Christmas gifts to children in need, but most importantly to share
The Gospel about Jesus.

During 20 years of „Operation Christmas Child” We gave out 81 millions of packs in

the whole world! It means that that number of children got the message that Jesus loves them and they are very pre-
cious in Gods eyes.

We as a church „Christ for All” during eight years of taking part in this project reached 1500 childrens and their families.
We have visited meny places: orphanages, single mother’s houses, Homes of the „Feniks” Association, Emergency Shel-
ters, and many many more.

We receive packages from our partners in Germany (1000), and also we prepare them ourselves (500) thanks to the
joint efforts of people with HUGE hearts. This is our drop in a sea of goodness.

This year we will receive from Germny 150 shoe boxes and we will add to this another 30.

We plan to visit families living in a shelter of the „Feniks” Association, children and their families living in the neighbo-
urhood of our church. But first of all we plan to go and visit homes of families living around us. So please start thinking
now who you can visit with a christmas gift.

Remember: Each day giving causes lots of joy so You too can pass along smile, good word, whatever you can share.
We count on your help and support. It will be hard to do it without You.

Some thanks:

„Good morning Madam. Today my son got a Christmas Surprise, a pack. He

was very happy and so was i. It’s a little gift but brought a lot of joy. My son kis-
sed the volunteers and i know that he would kiss you as well. In his eyes there
was so much happiness. I’m Krzys’s mother and from all of my heart i want to
thank You for that gift. I can’t explain how much happiness he got from Santa
Claus. Thank You very much. Krzys’s mother.”

„In Oscar’s pack, 7 years old boy was a pink book used for newborns babies in
the bath. Oscar’s mom was pregnant and in two months time she was going to
give birth to a girl”

Only God knows what will cause most joy at the home we are
going to visit. If we visit poeple we will see more of miracles
like this one.

Recommended: Jack Frost „Experiencing the Father's Embrace ”

T here are a lot of books talking about God’s love, most of them probably written by wo-
men. „Experiencing the Father’s Embrace” by Jack Frost is probably the only one and
for sure the best book about love of the Father God to His sons. I think that every man
should read it. It doesn’t matter if You are single, married, father, unemployed, builder or a
businessman. This book was written for You by a man for men. If You in Your life want to
pass on God’s love read this book as it will help You to open the deepest corners of Your
heart for God’s love.

This book is not only about God’s love, but it includes exact instructions how to give your-
self to this love.

Forget about everything you knew by now about love and get ready for the change of life
which will be accomplished by the unconditional love of the Father God. His love will chan-
ge everything—once and for ever. Learn to remain in God’s presence, in His will!

Endeavor in unconditional love and put it above all other emotions. Only then the real life will start! After receiving
of this amazing revelation You will not spend Your time, energy, love for other things, while the family and friends
really miss this feeling. When You understand that love motivates us to act better than fear with much more zeal
will be looking for love. Do You desire healing of Your past injuries and to get rid of subconscious internal suffering?

You have the opportunity to experience the love, You’ve been looking for all of Your life!
