Don't trust Airtel!

I have just bought a new prepaid Airtel chip (No. 99031-7607X). I wanted to know the GPRS settings. First of all navigating
through the IVR of Airtel is painful because you have to wait till the voice stops parroting. Then, if by chance you enter a number
(option) twice, you get disconnected. When you do choose, for example, English Language, you don't get an option to connect to
Customer Care. Only after I learned that you must dial the secret number "9" at the secret point in the IVR do you get connected
to Customer Care.

The Customer Care really don't care about the customer. Perfect parrot in practiced English dictions, a little off-beat question
confuses them thoroughly. They put you on hold and ask their supervisor. In my case, I was told to dial 7070 for technical
assistance. I asked whether the number was toll-free and "yes" came the reply.

I called 7070. They had no idea regarding GPRS settings (AND THEY CALL THEMSELVES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE?)
and asked weird and vague questions and finally said they had no idea regarding my question. Ah well! I always knew they were
dumb. After hanging up, I was shocked to see my balance depleted for Rs 26.xx for a less than 10 min call.

Moral of the story: Don't trust Airtel. Don't buy Airtel. If you can't afford Hutch, go without a phone. Hire a messenger to send
your messages. Above all, don't call customer care and waste your time. Buy some other card. Even an out-of-state on roam SIM.

I have prepaid connecetion of Airtel from last two and half years. every time my part of amount is deducted from my recharge.
there is 120 Rs deducted from my last recharge for what resonse even i do not now it is happend with me from last 4 month .
even i communicated with you Executive in custmor care they never responding proper. If this compailant is not going to be
taken seriosuly i am going to be take legal action against you and airtel in consumer courts.

people in airtel never resolve complains i am customer of airtel for the past 5 years in oct 2008 they added value added services
charge of rs. 750 against me which is purely fake now i have decided to quit with the services of airtel and disbanned my 5
airtel connection

I have taken pretpaid connection of airtel in Akola no. is, 9975054716, since 3yr. I had given my passport photocopy for
address verification. they had verify my address its horiable exprince with air tell i have loose my imate phone due to its
network problem also i had change my original sim with duplicate at last yr but new its againe distrurb my new modle mobile

i had recharged my two cards with rupess 46 on november 20 or 21 cell nos. are +919975250350 and +919960396969 today is
21st december till date i have not got balance and validity i had done recharged because i got msg from your company and i
registered my complaint in 198 and i talked three time with your executive they called me and told me you will get balance and
validity within 24 hours but i havn't got and today i talked in 121 customer care he talked very badly i talked between 6.30 to
7.00 in evening i have 4 to 5 connection in my home i am quit useing your cards just i msg you to inform you that just cheak
my useage its too bad that your loyal customer are leaving your cards due to your bad services you should take some necessary
steps even i have recording of your executive if i want i can register complaint in conumer form but i don't have that much time
so i am leaving to use your card and i also suggest to my friends also to quit using your cards cause we using friendz card its
cheapper but now we will start using vodafon or idea group cards.

thanx in advance now its on you, that you want take any necessary steps or not its for your company...

THE CUSTOMER CARE ATTENDANTS AT YELAHANKA 4TH PHASE ARE UNCONCERED AND DISINTERESTED
IN THEIR DUTY TOWARDS CUSTOMERS, WHOM THEY KEEP WAITING FOR HOURS..
WE CUSTOMERS WAIT LIKE DOGS TO BE SERVED.
THESE THREE FOOLS WHO CALL THEMSELVES C.C.EXECUTIVES ARE INTERESTED IN CHATTING ON THEIR
MOBILES PROVIDED TO THEM.
WE WONDER...ARE THEY TRAINED OR EVEN EDUCATED PEOPLE WHOM AAIRTEL CALLS C.C.EXECUTIVES.

UUUHHHH. PATHETIC.

The customer care service does not exists in Airtel.


I need my PUK number and when i called to the helpline number of Airtel, the call disconnects automatically and i tried many
times but then also the remove was same.

I am very disappointed from the service that Airtel is providing.

I completely agree.. i have been having an harrowing time trying to get them to respond to my complaints. I have recharged my
phone, but it would still not allow me to make outgoing calls. Their service is pathetic.

HI, I AM CONSUMER OF AIRTEL PREPAID CUSTMER & MY MOBILE NUMBER IS 9892040047, IN MY MOBILE
EVERYDAY MORNING 8.30AM TO 9.00 AM ONE STOTRAS SONG ON AND 11.30 AM 2 MESSAGE COME, THIS
MESSAGE SENDING FROM THIS NUMBER (290601) & MESSGE CENTER NUMBER IS (9892999043) AT THAT
TIME I RECEIVE MESSAGE RS. 2/- CUT IN MY TOTAL BALANCE EVERYDAY, SO I DON’T WANT THIS

I got the monthly tel bill with due date of 19.1.09. I paid the full amount by cheque on 15.1.09 at air tel counter itself. ( ie 4
days ahead ). About 40 cheques and cash in the airtel counter has been stolen and was reported by Airtel to Police and legal
action is on the way.

In the meantime, I was forced to pay the bill amount by next cheque. I told the authorites to give me a letter from airtel
letterhead informing me about the lost of my cheque to enable me to instruct my bank to effect the stop payment for the lost
cheque.

But the highly intelligent executives of airtel started threatening me to disconnect the phone. I bambard them and i told them i
will take up this matter to cpc. Finally they paid the bill from their pocket and closed the issue. till now i did not receive the
letter which opt for.

AIRTEL IS A FOOLISH ORGANISATION AND THEY SHOULD NOT GROW IN THIS NOBLE COUNTRY TO SPOIL
THE NAME OF INDIA

i am the holder of connection from airtel and i being being charged rs.10/- per day for the services which i never got activated. i
daily receive a message from the company like this "thanks for using (subscription, textbased services)subscription service on
Airtel WAP. you'hve been charged Rs.10/-.Enter Fun Zone http.//igmobi.com.
my mobile No. 9963847808.

Airtel is very very poor service provider..


This company is really a cheater...
Very frequently I am finding that with unwanted Service messages like VAS n WAP..etc.. amount is deducted from my prepaid
account. Already I have spoken with the customer care but no response from them...nothing has been done. Presently trying to
contact customer care but getting strange n foolish msg from them like "Please send airtel on 121 that n that thanks bye", "this
number does not exist"... and i think blocked by them at this moment.The Air tel has not only poor service but they are also
trying to cheat the customer in a fraudulent way. they are the cheater.
I planning to purchase other service provider's number for me.
Never purchase Airtel prepaid...Otherwise they will finish ur all talktime in their cheating...

One of the executive of Airtel came to my house & gave me the sim with 400 plan saying that within 4 working days my no.
will be activated. today 07-02-09 is 12th day
Till there is no reply from airtel and Cheque which I gave to them as sim cost & Deposit was also cleared
