Previously we had written about screenshot capture utility for Sony Ericsson phones, which
had to be connected to Windows machine to capture screenshots. For Windows Mobile
smartphone and pocket PCs, screenshots can be captured easily by installing free apps
available for Windows Mobile. So here are few of the free applications for Windows Mobile
for screenshot capture.
Note: Please check the support for Windows Mobile version before installing.
1. Capture Screen Utility: Capture Screen Utility is a useful utility for capturing screenshots
and screenshots with displayed menu and supports QVGA and VGA screens. It can also
capture screenshots with a delay.

2. SPB Screenshot: SPB ScreenShot is a tool to capture your screen on preset delay or with
hardware button. This utility can also set the delay while capturing screenshot. It saves the
screenshot in BMP or PNG format.

[Dec 29 08] CapSure - Better Screen Capture v1.11g - now with sound!
3. CapSure: This is anther free application for screen capture for Windows Mobile which
captures in BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG formats. This app also allows you to add captions to screen
captures. Apart from this, the utility also has built-in thumbnail viewer and image editor.
I've tried to address everyone's wish list for a screen capture app. I hope you enjoy.

4. Repeat - Repeat any of the above captures with user-selected interval and user-
selected max captures

4. MyScreenCapture. The program allows you to capture the screen of the device and save it
to the memory. This utility does not require any installation, just copy the exe file and run it
directly from the phone.

5. PocketScreen: This is another utility written in VB.Net and supports file types of *.bmp,
*.jpg, *.gif or *.png. You can also set capture timer with this utility.
If you have any more better FREE apps for Windows Mobile screen capture, please do share
it here.
I was looking for a tool to make screenshots of my phone. But I couldn't find the 'perfect' app
for it. So I wrote a tool myself.
It's called PocketScreen. It's been written in VB.NET so you need the .NET Compact
Framework for it.
When you press the capture button it will automatically minimize the application.
I've tested this on a Wizard only but it should work on any PocketPC with .NETCF 2.0
installed.
Updates
- Option focus and exit application after capture changed. Now either focus or exit must be
selected to prevent the program to stay minimized in memory.
- Directory browser updated. Root is not shown.

- When an error occures while displaying the directory browser a window will be displayed
with the error message. (please report)
- Subdirectories will not appear twice (or more) anymore after expanding/collapsing multiple
times.
