How to solve the paper


- Read the questions carefully. Most of the times questions are tricky.
- Try to give as much details as you can.
- Emphasize the main things you want to show.
- Be clear about your idea.
- It is a game of difference .The papers is simple. Anyone can solve them. But they don't want
anyone, they want designers .So be a designer.
- Before exams get fully immersed into the designing environment so that you may think only
design.
- Observe the details. Imagine new things out of them.
- Solve the visual reasoning questions.
- Do color theory in detail, right from history, to the significance of colors.
 

Notes for preparation


Drawing has several elements such as points , lines, textures, patterns, shapes, colors, mass,
space etc. Drawing can be made with the perspective of observation, imagination and memory
taken together . All these three perspectives are required for the designing exams. So try to
explore everything .Even a small button can be used in the designing. So observe every thing
which comes into your vision. Here are some of the designing elements which may help to put
your imagination on paper.
 

Forms
Square, rectangle, circle, triangle are the basic shapes.

1.Line-can be straight, curves, zig-zag.

2.Shapes and there meanings :-

-Circle gives the feeling of protection and infinity.

-Square gives the freeling of honesty and equality.

-Traingle gives the feeling of conflict and action.

Colors Theory
Color Wheel

Primary Colors :which are basic colors.

-Primary Colors of light are Red , green and Blue.

-Primary Colors of pigment are Red , Blue and Yellow.

Excersice: Mix all 3 primary colors together in equal proportion.It forms white .

Secondary Colors: Made by mixing any two primary colors.

-Secondary Colors are Violet , Orange and Green.

-Suppose a picture is painted in different tints and shades of only one color , the color scheme is
known as monochrome colors. Ex.

Excersice: Mix all 3 primary colors together in equal proportion.It forms grey .

-Shades-Going from Top to bottom the darkness is adding in the color(hue).This is Shade of
Pink.

-Tints-Going From Top to Bottom the whiteness is adding in the color(hue).This is Tint of Pink.
