The research roadshow
is the first of a series
being hosted across the
country by Alzheimer’s
Society’s research
team between now and
April 2011.
There are 2,895 people
with dementia in
Newcastle and 750,000
in the UK.
The exact causes of
dementia are still
unknown, there is no
cure and the
treatments available
only slow rather than
stop its progression.
The research
roadshows are the
public’s chance to learn
about how the
Alzheimer’s Society
