The Rudram Chamakam

Background
This work is a culmination of my last six months or so of my effort. As usual I am not
sure on how I landed into Rudra or Chamakam. But the last six months, I had been a
tormented soul as I experienced a real ‘child-birth’ with these writings. I could not rest a
second without working on it and felt completely restless till I completed it. It also
kindled further, my interest in Vedas, to learn and explore more. (It could be simply me
ego)

I learnt a lot of new meanings and developed further understanding of the Vedas. I
became much more convinced than ever before that Vedas were more of revelations of
science than spirituality.

In interpreting the meanings of the words, I have kept myself in tune with Rudram
Mantras (written by R.L.Kashyap) and understandings given by Sri Aurobindo. But I had
mapped them to scientific domain and explained the same from a scientific perspective. I
have also taken care to check and verify the meanings of words across several scriptures
and their contexts.

I took some real care to ensure that some of these writings do not appear psuedo-science,
but I request to point out mistakes if any, so that it can be corrected as they are not
intentional.

Introduction
In the Rg Deva, the devas are external forces (Chemical elements formed of Adityas or
Stellar Evolution). Asuras are powerful forces that emerged in the pre-stellar evolution
and mostly (sub-atomic particles). This is corroborated by the fact that Vedas claim the
Asuras (sub-atomic particles), which means powerful, did intense penance and created
their own opposites (anti-particles).

The Adityas refer to stages of Stellar Evolution and produce many Devas (Elements).
Similarly even before the Stellar Evolution happened, there was a stage of Pre-Stellar
evolution in which sub-atomic particles were formed from Amba (which I currently map
to Quark-Gluon Plasma). As science progreses this mapping of Amba to QGP could
change.

In the Rg Veda, I map the following devas and asuras to following forces/particles as
known in science. These mappings have been arrived at after a lot of study of various
vedic texts.

Vishnu
A sub-sub-atomic force/particle that forms the basis of matter (World) and even the sub-
atomic particles.

Vishnu also forms the basis of dark-matter (which Vedas claim as the Under World) and
Plasmic Amba (which Vedas claim as Dyau or Heaven).

This force is behind the Quarks, Leptons and Bosons. It is probably the String that is
vibrated by the force of Rudra and it appears as Quarks, Leptons, Bosons and various
other particles.

Since Vishnu strides matter, dark-matter and the Amba, Vishnu is tri-vikrama.

Vishnu is Vamana as Vishnu is the lowest unit of possible matter.

Vishnu means active worker or one who actively separates or dis-joins. Vishnu is called
so as Vishnu separates from plasmic Amba (into strings probably) that combine and
recombine to form sub-atomic particle forces, which in turn form particles and matter.

Vishnu is the brother of Amba in the Puranas as Vishnu is from the same source as
Amba.

Rudra
Rudra is the eleven dimensional force or Space that originates from the Dyauh or
heavenly region. I have explained about Rudra in my blogs on Rudra. They are in the
reference sections.

Amba
Amba is the name given to Plasmic substance that shone at the very early stage of
Universe before the BigBang, Amba itself is claimed be formed from ‘Atma’. This
Atma, which existed inside the Amba cannot be fully understood according to the Vedas.
The region of Dyauh or Heaven comprises of the Atma, Amba and the Unknowns inside
them.

Amba is often claimed as the ‘Mother’ as the evolution happens from Amba by the
changes of Amba. Amba is said to make the ‘effort’ to give birth to newer particles.

Purusha
Purusha is the dark matter formed from the same thing as Amba and is formed to Guide
the evolution of Amba. Purusha is often claimed as a Male, as Purusha influences Amba
without undergoing any changes of its own.
Purusha manifests itself as the fire on Amba to kick-start the evolution of Universe,

Vayu
A substance of Plasmic nature (gaseous nature is a later derivation)

Indra
Indra is the ‘Chief’ of the elements that form out of the Stellar Evolution. I map Indra to a
Baryonic ion.
Indra’s Vajra are the Neutrinos that are emanated when One Baryon changes to another
Baryon.

I am not sure about the below mappings. They may be subject to change as I understand
further.

TvaSta
TvaSta is also an asura. I map it to neutrinos (tvaSta is the maker of Indra’s thunderbolt.
If Indra is a Baryonic ion, then its thunderbolt is neutrinos which can pierce anything,
travels at speed of light, with near zero mass)

Mitra
Mitra is an Asura in the sense that it is a sub-atomic particle. I map Mitras to Photons.
Mitra is hailed in the Vedas as the one who conquers for us the vastness, conquers the
path to our home, harmonises all and makes us hasten forward through to the goal;
guards us in our drinking of the light. Mitra and Varuna are said to increase the growth in
Earth.

Varuna
Varuna is also an Asura in the sense that it is a sub-atomic particle. Varuna is primarily
electrons (lepton). Varuna is supposed to guard the earth. Electrons in the Van Allen
radiation belt guard the earth. Varuna is supposed to cause rains. Electrons have a great
role in causing rains.

Aryaman
Aryaman is also an asura in the sense that it is a sub-atomic particle. It is a lepton, which
I map as Tauon. I also map it to DhAtr. DhaAtr means a bearer or one that supports.

Bhaga
BhAga is also an asura in the sense that it is a sub-atomic particle. It is a lepton, which I
map as Muons. BhAga means dispenser of wealth. Muons distribute matter and are
generated when protons (cosmic rays) impinge on molecules in space.

Ashvini
I have mapped Ashvinis to Mesons, as the hailing of mesons in Chamakam tend to
describe them as combination of Amshu and Upa-Amshu (similar to Quark and Anti-
Quark combination of mesons). Amshu means a particle or the point at the end of ray of
light.

The seventh Anuvaka of Chamakam (which I map to Mesons) attaches a huge

importance to these forces, much more than what science gives to mesons currently.
From this it appears that Mesons are next to Vishnu in their importance in the evolution
of Universe.

Though I am not sure about Ashvini-Mesons mapping, I am relatively sure about seventh
Anuvaka of Chamakam – Mesons mapping. Hence I expect mesons will gain larger
understanding and predominance in science in future.l

Dyauh
The region of the Atma, Amba is called the Dyauh. It is often referred to as ‘Heaven’.
The region of Dyau comprises the Atma and Amba and is characterized by discharges of
energy (lightning) due to creation of newer matter. Due to this energy transactions, this
region of Amba is highly illuminated and is called Dyauh, which means lightened up.

Yajna (Sacrifice)
The Yajna described in Vedas is nothing but the evolution of matter in most cases where
I could understand. Read the detailed description of Anuvaka 1 to understand this
evolution of matter as a sacrifice.

The Chamakam – A Brief Summary

According to the Nasadiya Suktam, the entire Universe evolution is due to the 'desire' of
the 'Self' to realize itself by evolving into beings of higher intelligence. Till now all my
readings of Vedas and Chamakam too corroborates that.

The Chamakam has eleven Anuvakas. Each Anuvaka corresponds to a force of Rudra, as
there are eleven Rudras. Refer to my blog on Rudra, the eleven dimensional space
mentioned in the Reference section.

The first Anuvaka says Universe is an expression of Agni(Fire) and Vishnu (smallest unit
of matter that disjoins/evolves) and explains the process of origination of matter and
beings (those with finite age). It talks about the ‘sucking’ of milk by the matter and
beings, thus getting fed for the energy. Thus it talks about the force of Amba

The second Anuvaka talks about the pre-eminent, raw, unchanged, light generator, that
influences like a mature male, overlords everything, delightfully plays with its flaming
energy on the plasmic substance (Amba) and influences the creation of matter that
sustains evolution. But this influencing force itself is unchanged. Thus it talks about
Purusha.
The third anuvaka talks about a ‘bonding’ force that is also a dispenser of matter,
establishes order, creates new matter and that triggers the further evolution of matter.
Thus it talks about Prana or Gluons.

The fourth anuvaka talks about the widest, broadest, vast of all force that provides food
and growth to every one. Thus it talks about the Electro-Magnetic Force (Aksa)/Photons

The fifth anuvaka talks about the force that grows size and massive things and that
provides stability to entire universe. Thus it talks about the Higgs field that provides mass
and the Gravitational field that increases mass.

The sixth anuvaka talks about the evolution of force of Indra (protons/Baryons) in every
possible way during the pre-stellar (From QGP/Amba to gas clouds) and stellar evolution
(From gas clouds to Star, Adityas). According to science too Baryons are formed in
variety of ways during pre-stellar evolution, stellar evolution and decay of other sub-
atomic particles. Thus this talks about the Baryons.

The seventh anuvaka talks about a force that regulates the internal bonding between the
baryon ionic plasma (Indra vayu). It hails this force as the regulator of Universal order,
Lord of the Universe itself. Thus it talks about Mesons (which does the internal bonding
between protons and neutrons). The role of Mesons is not well understood currently,
given the hailing mesons receive from Vedas.

But if these interpretations are true, Mesons are as important as gluons (and much more)
and are almost as important as Vishnu (the basic matter which makes up different matter
particles including Quarks, Leptons and Bosons).

The eighth anuvaka talks about the sacrifice (evolution) that happens and the way bigger
and bigger vessels of energy are created, which I map to larger and larger nuclei. It
describes the process in which leptons (primarily electrons) stream out due to the stirring
and are captured by nuclei to form atoms. Thus it talks about the Leptonic forces and
evolution of larger and larger elements.

The ninth anuvaka talks about extreme hot environments in earth in which membrane-
less cell structures evolve and multiply. From this pre-historic beings, immature beings,
beings with large mass and higher knowledge emerge. Thus it talks about the ziZnam the
primitive cell structures.

The tenth anuvaka talks about the growth of energy in biological beings and invokes the
growth of energy upto 4 years of young ones and mature males and females. It also talks
about various faculties that emerge in biological beings corresponding to various faculties
that emerged in Physics domain. Hence it talks about Soma (the energy in physics and
fatty acids in biological domain).

The eleventh anuvaka talks about the growth of 33000 DNA bases (in mitochondria) and
4800 million bases (in Nucleus) of human beings that carry intelligence. Hence it talks
about Apa (the base medium), as I explained in my blogs on Rudra mentioned in the
reference section.

Anuvaka – 1 (The force of Amba (Plasmic Substance

that existed ever before) Rudra’s 1st dimension)
In this anuvaka, the force of Amba, which is the first force of Rudra (first dimension of
space) is hailed and invoked. According to Aitareya Upanishad, Amba is formed of the
agitations of ‘Atma’ and Purusha is also drawn out from the same. This Amba is plasmic
in nature and shines and it is from this Amba the entire matter of universe evolves. Not
only matter, but also the beings evolve.

This evolutionary process is akin to a Yajna or sacrifice. The sacrificial bed (Khusa grass
or barhis) (dried grass-Dharbai)) of this evolution is the Purusha. Purusha starts the fire
on Amba (as the dried dharbai is used to start the fire on the altar) and hence is called a
Male (which itself does not undergo change, but influences change).

The Altar or Vedi is the Amba (which I map to a Quark-Gluon Plasma or QGP) on which
this evolution occurs. Out of this Amba is dug out the mesonic clouds (like the earth
heap) that are spread all around. The streaming QGP of Amba keeps feeding the fire on
Amba. The fuel for this fire further are the Baryons and mesons. This complete
evolutionary process is explained as a sacrifice in Anuvaka Eight.

vAjah - Energy (spirit)

prasavah – (Property of) Origination (pressing or pressurizing)
prayati - Effort
prasiti – Onward rush, extend, stretch, cast
dhiti – suck, drink, thirst (Amba holds the juice (QGP..?) that is sucked and drank to
create newer matter particles. Hence Amba is the Mother)
kratu – sacrificial ceremony, sacrificial rite, sacrifice itself (evolution of cosmos is the
sacrifice)

The meaning of the above verse is:

1. Protect this Energy (that keeps the expansion)

2. Protect the property of Origination (Birth of newer Matter particles)

3. Protect the Effort (of Amba to give birth to newer matter particles)

4. Protect the expansion (of newer and newer matter particles)

5. Protect the sucking of Amba’s plasmic energy to form matter particles

6. Protect this Sacrifice of evolution

Note that Amba is called Mother here as the juice of Amba (probably QGP) is sucked to
create newer matter particles from Vishnu (the lowest unit of matter probably a string)

svara – the smallest note of vibration

shloka – an ordered set of vibrations of 32 syllables
shrava – Higher order set of vibrations that can be heard
shruti – Still higher order set of vibrations that can be heard and are meaningful
jyoti - Vibrations of still higher frequencies (light)

1. Protect the smallest note of vibration that starts in Amba (Lower Frequency)

2. Protect the ordered set of vibrations that follow (low frequency)

3. Protect the higher order set of vibrations that can be heard (Audio frequency)

4. Protect the still higher order set of vibrations that convey knowledge (Higher

The meaning of the above verses is

1. Protect the Strong force that binds energy with matter to create newer particles

2. Protect the radiation that carries off energy to far off places

3. Protect the energy circulation inside the QGP to create newer and newer matter

particles

4. Protect the Breathing (matter creation, radiation and circulation)

5. Protect the aim of this evolution (to evolve to higher and higher forms of matter)

6. Protect the Objects of aim (new knowledge, new intelligence)

7. Protect the expression (the newer matter particles)

8. Protect the Hidden energy sources that propel further evolution (I map it to

mesons for Matter)

11. Protect the strength that enables growth

12. Protect the power that provides strength

13. Protect the illuminating vigor that provides power

14. Protect the Overcoming spirit that provides illumination

In the above verses, amba (QGP in my mapping) is stated to undergo huge tormentation
(like a woman who gives birth) to give birth to newer particles. In this fire on Amba,
Vishnu the lowest unit matter combines, re-combines, radiates, that radiation is captured
to create higher and higher energy sources (newer matter particles).

Aitareya Upanishad also talks about this huge tormentation of Amba that produces newer
and newer matter.

Varma – Protection to Body
angAni – members
asthAni –bones
parUmshi –Joints
sharirani – Entire Amba

The meaning of the above verses is

not have a concept of death. But beings have a concept of limited life, as they

have a concept of death)

2. Protect the beings with the finite age

3. Protect the Atma (Amba is another form of Atma, when Atma got tormented

according to Aitareya Upanishad) that manifest on beings

Summary of 1st anuvaka

This first anuvaka of Chamakam talks about force of Amba the Quark-Gluon Plasma
(Some plasmic substance), the first dimension of Rudra in the following ways:

1. Universe is an expression of Union of Agni (started by Purusha the Dark Matter)

and Vishnu (lowest unit of matter particle) that keeps expanding

2. Energy, Origination, Effort to Originate newer particles, expansion, ‘sucking’ the

plasmic energy as the Milk to feed the expansion and the sacrifice are the

hallmarks of Amba. Pray for the protection of this force of Amba (the first

dimension of Rudra)

3. Various orders of vibrations (frequencies) go on in Amba. Pray for their

protection.

4. Matter evolution happens through Strong force binding, Radiation that disperses

energy, Circulation of energy (transfer) between particles, Keeping with the Aim
of this sacrifice to evolve higher beings, Keeping with the Objects of Aim to

acquire newer knowledge/intelligence, Expressions that create newer particles,

Hidden energy sources that fuel evolution, Receptacles that receive energy from

radiation, Flow of energy that provides mass to particles, strength, power, vigor

and the overcoming spirit. Pray for their protection

5. Being evolution happens through origination of beings with finite age,

manifestation of the ‘Atma’ on beings, manifestation of the ‘Self’ on ‘Atma, Joy

and Bliss that evolves intelligence further, the evolution of physical bodies, bones,

joints, structures of biological beings. Pray for their protection.

Since Amba is the first force-field of Rudra, this anuvaka invokes this force of Amba on
all the above, seeking the protection of Amba on the above.

Anuvaka – 2 (The force of Purusha (Dark

Matter/Guiding force of intelligence), Rudra’s 2nd
dimension)
In this Anuvaka, the force-field of Purusha (the dark-matter) is invoked. Dark matter or
Purusha is formed from the same plasmic material as Amba and was drawn out to guard
the Universe according to Aitareya Upanishad. Refer to my blogs on Aitareya Upanishad
and Sankhya Philosophy. This Purusha is the sacrificial bed on which the evolution
happens according to my interpretations of Purusha Suktam.

In this Anuvaka, the force exerted by Purusha is explained and invoked. This force-field
is the second dimension of Rudra or second force-field of Rudra.

According to my interpretation of Rudra, Shiva is the name of Rudra that is the force of
Purusha. This Rudra is called the Kala-Agni (or the Black fire) as the Purusha manifests
itself as a fire on Amba according to my interpretation of Aitareya Upanishad.

This anuvaka invokes this force-field of Purusha and hails its significance. It invokes the
Rudra on these actions of Purusha.

Summary of 2nd Anuvaka

This second anuvaka of Chamakam talks about force of Purusha or the dark matter, the
second dimension of Rudra in the following ways:
1. The first originated and the originating facilitator of all (matches with Dark matter

description of science. The facilitator part is not understood yet in science)

2. The delightful player on Amba through its flaming energy (Purusha manifests

itself as the fire on Amba to kick-start origination).

3. The one that is vast, expanse and ever growing (Same as Dark matter)

4. The one that is original, unchanged, like a mature male moving at will (Purusha is

called a male because it facilitates origination like a male but remains unchanged.

Amba is female/mother because it makes the effort to give birth to new matter

particles and beings) and influencer of all worlds and their matter (Science also

says Dark matter is not influenced by anything)

5. The one that initiates birth and keeps producing matter (by influencing) and hence

generator of wealth. (Science is not clear about the role of Dark Matter. But if

Purusha is the dark matter then Dark matter only influences matter formation)

6. The one that initiates, establishes order and thought and intelligence (The role of

Dark matter on thought and intelligence is not ascertained)

Anuvaka – 3 (The force of Rudra on Prana (Strong

force field/Gluons))
This Anuvaka is on the Strong force field that BINDS quarks and makes them hadrons
(Baryons and Mesons). I map Vishnu the lowest unit matter particle (probably a string)
and that makes the Quarks, Leptons and even the Bosons. Rudra vibrates this string in
different ways to make them look different.

Here Prana the strong force binds the Quarks and help forms the next set of particles such
as Baryons and Mesons. Prana is this binding force referred to in Rg Veda in many
places. The name Prana came to Human breath, because it binds oxygen to blood or
metabolism to human body probably later.

Summary of third Anuvaka

This third anuvaka of Chamakam talks about force of Prana or the Strong Force (Gluons),
the third dimension of Rudra in the following ways:
1. The property of the Strong Force that exerts, promotes desire, fondness, longing

and attraction is invoked and praised. This anuvaka says that this force makes it

agreeable, pleasing, dear to others etc between the constituents of matter.

2. This force also is a dispenser as this force creates new sub-atomic particles,

separating from the Quark-Gluon Plasma. Thus it is a dispenser too. Thus this

force creates movable assets (from the immovable asset of Plasma). Also it is a

regulator, bearer of particles, force that provides peace, security, support,

universally present, mighty yet hidden and invisible and is visible only to

Intellectual faculties

3. It is also a mothering force (that it delivers newer particles) by continuously

pressing and ploughing the matter to produce newer particles. It is immortal and

one that triggers the evolution, initiates the concept of life and death. It has no

anti-particles, provides a good life-time to those that are bounded by it and which

rests and sleeps deep inside. It is the originator of time and good times that we

enjoy

the places. It is the most treasured possession and has the property of nourishing

of matter and beings. This force is a factor that causes the growth.

3. It is a all pervading force that has lordship, is abundant and is ever increasing its

abundance. It is wholesome and complete and is imperishable (it transfers energy

wholly without any by-products and hence is imperishable)

Anuvaka – 5 (The force of Rudra on Higgs
Field/Gravitation)
In this Anuvaka, the force of Rudra is invoked on Higgs field which results in mass of all
particles.

Hence this anuvaka invokes all elements of earth that possess mass. Also it invokes the
force of Rudra on all those where the Gravitational field is important.

It is because of the Higgs field that provides mass and Gravitational field that provides
attraction based on mass that massive substances get formed. It is because of this force
that things grow in size. Hence the force of Rudra is invoked on all matter and beings
which grow in size.

Summary of 5th Anuvaka

In this anuvaka the force of Rudra is invoked on all things that have mass and that grow
in size.
1. Stones, Clay, Hills, mountains, Gravel stones, Wood, Gold, bronze, lead, tin, iron,

copper are all examples of matter that acquire mass due to Higgs field and grow

in size due to Gravitational field.

2. Agni the fire grows in Earth only due to Gravitational field. IN a way fire on

Earth is ‘anchored’ by the gravitational force and grows due to it (otherwise it

would extinguish soon)

3. ‘Apa’ the base molecules that carry intelligence grow only due to Gravity. Apa is

also used to refer the medium that makes the base molecules thrive. These base

molecules promote life and intelligence. In planet Earth it is the Oceanic water

that originates life and intelligence. The Oceans exist due to the Gravitational

field

4. ‘Land’ acquires mass due to Higgs field. It grows in size due to ‘Gravitational

field’. Life ‘grows’ in Planet Earth only due to land. Land is of two types. The

cultivated (human occupied) land and the forest land. Both of these provide ‘food’

to all beings that make them ‘grow’. The life-sustainers such as roots and herbs

that grow on ploughed land (grown by Humans) and the forests that grow on their

own are all sustained only due to gravity.

5. The force of Rudra is invoked on all the above with the prayer that they should

get perfected (keep getting perfected) by evolution.

6. While all of the above are primarily dependent on the fifth dimension of Rudra

and get perfected only due to fifth Rudra, the following are dependent on fifth

dimension of Rudra to some extent. Hence the force of fifth dimension of Rudra

is invoked for their protection too.

7. Materials for living (which we call as wealth), Evolution of consciousness,

Elements of matter and beings, biological units, intelligence that dwells in

biological units, action performed by the biological units, the energy source of
biological units, Aim of Biological units (to evolver into further intelligent

beings), the moving forward course/way/path of biological beings all need the

Protection of Mass acquiring properties of the fifth dimension of Rudra.

This anuvaka invokes the force of Rudra on above and prays that these be perfected
through evolution.

Anuvaka – 6 (The force of Rudra on Baryonic forces)

In this anuvaka, the force of rudra on Baryons is extolled and explained. I had mapped
Indra to Baryonic ions, in particular Protons. Here the protection for Indra or Baryonic
ions (Protons) are invoked. (Indra in particular is Proton, in my understanding, which is
also the first element, Hydrogen ion)

This anuvaka traces the origination of Protons in various forms and invokes the force of
Rudra in each case.

Anuvaka – 7 (The force of Rudra on mesonic forces)

This anuvaka is about the force of Rudra on Mesons.

According to Aitareya Upanishad, Mana (thought, Hidden) was born after the Core
(Hrdayam) was born. I had mapped Hrdayam/Core to Baryons (Protons, neutrons etc)
and Mana to Hidden Meson particles.
If this mapping is true, then according to Vedic interpretation, Mesons play a great role in
creation of matter and beings. The role of mesons according to modern science is not
fully understood.

Mesons are those particles that are hidden (composed of one quark and one anti-quark).
Mesons evolved during the BigBang after the Baryons. Mesons provide the strong force
interaction between Protons and Nuetrons and form the nuclei.

In this anuvaka, Amshu is used to indicate the minutest of the particle that seems to be at
the one end of light (a Quark particle). In this Anuvaka, it is said that Mesons are formed
of Amshu (Quark particles) and Upa-Amshu (additional Quark particle, according to
science anti-quark particle).

I map the twin Ashvins to Mesons, Indra to Baryonic ions, Vayu/Vyom – Plasmic
nature in this Anuvaka ( I have used it in the same way in all my blogs)

Anuvaka – 8 (The force of Rudra on Leptons and

radiation and formation of mortal matter (death))
Aitareya Upanishad details the evolution of matter and beings. According to it, after the
Candrama particles (which I interpret as Leptons) originated, the Apana (moving away
force) originated. From Apana, the death originated.
According to science, at the time of BigBang, (after a second of Bigbang), leptons
originated in the Universe. Following the lepton epoch, radiation (moving away of
photons) originated. And from this radiation epoch, radioactive decay originated.

Following this according to Aitareya Upanishad, the ‘Yajna’ of Creation started., in

which the sacrifice led to creation of matter, beings and humans. According to Science,
the ‘Yajna’ or ‘Evolution’ of ‘Cosmos’ originated following the radiation epoch, which
led to creation of human beings.

All our scriptures repeatedly proclaim evolution of matter and beings as a ‘Sacrifice’.
And science also claims the ecological balance as a system of ‘sacrifice’ as set of beings
provide them as ‘food’ for evolution of higher set of beings.

Rudra is the force behind this formation of leptons, radiation and subsequent triggering of
the Sacrifice that we know today as Cosmic evolution.

In this Anuvaka, the force of Rudra is invoked on the evolution of matter, which is a
sacrifice of the ionic plasma that came out of the Amba.

Summary of 8th Anuvaka
The fuel for this sacrifice is the Baryons and Mesons which later on form the Hydrogen
and Helium-4. (idmah)

The sacrificial bed of grass that guards the Yajna in all directions is the Purusha or dark
matter. The dried kusa grass is called dharbam. Dharbam symbolizes Purusha, the dark
matter, that is not detectable by any senses and absorbs all radiations. Dharbai is also said
to have similar characteristics and hence is considered the manifestation of Purusha.
Hence during Yajna, Dharbai is placed around the altar and guards the altar in all
directions, as Purusha guards the evolution of our cosmos. According to Aitareya
Upanishad, Purusha guards the evolution of our universe. (barhis)

The altar in which this sacrifice happens (the holder) is the Amba from which the Quark
gluon plasma bed came out. (vedih)

From this QGP is ‘dug out’ the ionic plasma (dhiSNiya) which spreads all around. The
streaming QGP (srucha) that keeps coming out of the Amba feeds this ionic plasma.

Nuceli of small atoms (Chamasa) get formed from this ion plasma. The binding energy
binds the baryons and mesons to form the nuclei, which acts as the Cup that holds the
energy that comes out this sacrifice.

The binding energy that crushes the baryons and mesons together binds these like
pressing stones on all sides. (GrAvan)

Radiations (svaravah) spill out of this process for a long time. After that the radiations
cease (Uparava). Since radiation is through photons and photons interacting with leptons
feed the further energy for this evolution, these radiations are very important.

Further crushing of baryons and mesons produce larger ionic nuclei. (adhiShavane) Ionic
nuclei get formed forming the vessels of energy (Dronakalasha).

This process continues where in bigger and bigger ‘vessels’ of energy gets created. Many
elements are born. These bigger and bigger vessels of energy are referred to as
‘Vayavyani’ and ‘Putabhrt’.

The stirring of ionic plasma (mesonic) (Adhvaniya) continues. This stirring storkes
further and further fire (Agnidhram) in this sacrifice.

Due to this stirring and heat produced electrons stream out. They are the Havis of this
sacrifice (Havirdhanam). They find their homes in the bigger and bigger nuclei ions
which trap them and consume them (GrhAh).
Electrons find their ‘seats’ in different valence shells around the nucleus of atoms with
different energy levels (sadah). Individual elements (PuroDaz) get formed. They get more
‘cooked’ in the fire (pachatAh) and heat and form bigger and bigger elements.

The remnants move out of the atoms (avabhrta). The ‘swallowing’ process keeps
continuing (svagakarah) as more and more matter evolves.

Anuvaka - 10 – The force of Rudra on Reta

(Soma, the acidic medium that provides energy
and growth)
This Anuvaka invokes the Reta/Soma force of Rudra (the tenth dimension of space of
Rudra that influences the acidic medium of life) on the biological growth of beings. I had
mapped the Reta to Soma and Soma to an acidic medium that is essential for biological
growth in my earlier blogs here.

This acidic medium is what is behind the Nucleus of a Cell and formation of several
acidic/fatty substances that are important to biological growth of beings. The tenth
force or dimension of Rudra is the force behind the formation of nucleus of cells and
essential fatty acids that propel the energy and growth of human beings..

Modern science says nucleus is acidic in nature and formation of nucleus is the hallmark
of evolution from prokaryotes to eukaryotes. Modern science also says the acidic nucleus
and metabolisation of essential fatty acids trigger the evolution of biological beings from
bacteria to modern human beings,

This Anuvaka 10 of Chamakam invokes the force of Rudra that creates/nutures the soma
or acidic medium (that provides the energy to beings) that is essential for biological life
on all children of upto four years of age. It also goes on to invoke the force of Rudra on
growing up males and females that are capable of reproduction.

Summary of the 1st portion of 10th Anuvaka

Rishis invoke the tenth dimension of Rudra, the Reta or Soma, the force that creates and
sustains the acidic medium (Essential Fatty acids, amino-acids etc) on the biological
beings.
• Rudra, Come into the 1.5, 2, 2.5,3,3.5,4 year old male and female for protection.
• Rudra, Come into the growing/immature male for protection
• Rudra, Come into the mature male for protection
• Rudra, Come into the sexually active male for protection
• Rudra, Come into the immature female for protection
• Rudra, Come into the mature female for protection
• Rudra, Come into the lactating female for protection

Modern science says that essential fatty acids, amino-acids/proteins are important for
growth of human child atleast upto 4 years of age. After the first four years of age, the
energy needs per kilogram of bodyweight of a child starts decreasing.

In other words the energy needs per kilogram of bodyweight of a child is very high upto
first four years of age.

A child also sees maximum brain growth in the first four years of its life. In these first
four years, it is important that the child receives and metabolizes good amount of EFAs
and proteins, as the first four years can have a huge impact on later life.

Summary of the 2nd portion of 10th Anuvaka

Evolution of Universe is referred to as a sacrifice of Purusha in Purusha Suktam. In many
other places in Rg Veda and even Upanishads, evolution of Universe is termed as a
sacrifice.

The term yagyena kalpatam means being fit and able or competent through evolution of
universe.

Prana refers to a strong binding force. Apana refers to a ‘moving away’ or

‘eliminating/separating’ force. These forces are fundamental in nature and are the third
and seventh dimension of the force of Rudra.

In the biological context, Prana is the force that binds oxygen with blood. This is the
process of respiration that is the basis of cellular metabolism which produces energy.

In the biological context, apana is the force that eliminates waste from blood. This is the
process by which urine/stools are removed from the body.

There are also other forces in a biological being. They are Vyana, Udana and Samana.
Notable among them is the Vyana which is the circulation of energy inside a biological
being.
Chaksur in a biological context indicates sight (In the context of physics it indicates light)
Shrotram in a biological context indicates hearing (In the physics context it indicates
current or flow of low intensity force). Mano in biological context indicates Mind (In
physics context it indicates hidden particles/force). Vak in biological context indicates
speech. Aatma in biological context indicates soul (In context of physics it indicates the
source of everything that existed at the beginning).

So the meaning of the remaining portion of Anuvaka 10 is:

• Let life-time become fit and able through evolution (let it continuously increase).
• Let the process of respiration (and thus energy production) become strengthened
through evolution.
• Let the process of elimination of waste become strengthened through the process
of evolution.
• Let the energy circulation become strengthened through the process of evolution.
• Let vision become strengthened through evolution.
• Let hearing become strengthened through evolution.
• Let Mind get strengthened through evolution.
• Let speech get strengthened through evolution
• Let the soul strengthen through evolution
• Let evolution strengthen through evolution.

Anuvaka -11 – The force of Rudra on Apa (The

base-pairs of DNA/ The medium that makes it
thrive)
This anuvaka invokes the eleventh dimension of Rudra, the force that creates and sustains
Apa. It contains numbers 1 to 33 in steps of 1,3,5 to 33. It also contains numbers 4 to 48
in steps of 4,8,12 to 48. It seeks the blessings of Rudra on these numbers. Actually these
numbers represent a polymer chain of molecules that form the Apa.

I had explained Apa as the ‘base’ medium that enables evolution of life and intelligence
in several of my blogs.

Yes, Apa is nothing but the nitrogenous base pairs of the DNA.

In this anuvaka, the Rishis want the force of the Rudra that influences the APA to come
into the APA and influence it positively. They invoke the force of Rudra on the APA.

DNA base pairs are found in nucleus as well mitochondria. Science says that DNA
originated in mitochondria and probably migrated (keeps migrating) to nucleus.
The mitochondrial DNA is inherited from mother while nuclear DNA is inherited from
mother and father.

This chamakam talks about the base-pairs of DNA of Amba (mitchondria) and base-pairs
of nuclear DNA. The base-pairs of mtDNA (mother Amba) are indicated by numbers
one, three, five, seven upto thirty-three. The base-pairs of nucleus are indicated by
numbers four, eight, twelve upto forty-eight.

Ekaa cha me tisrashcha me pajncha cha me

sapta cha me nava cha ma ekadasha cha me
trayodasha cha me pamchadasha cha me saptadasha cha me
navadasha cha ma eka vishatishcha me trayovishatishcha me
pamchavishatishcha me saptavishatishcha me navavishatishcha ma
ekatrishachcha me trayastrishachcha me

The numbers one, three, five indicate the base-pairs of mtDNA. A base-pair of DNA
contains two bases either Adenine-Thymine or Guanine-Cytosine. The numbers are
incremented by two indicating the two bases in a base-pair.

Actually the number one indicates the first thousand bases in mtDNA. Number two
indicates two thousand bases. Similarly number thirty-three indicates thirty-three
thousand bases of mtDNA in humans.

These thirty-three thousand bases are organized in terms of 16500 base-pairs (16650 to
be more accurate) in mtDNA. Hence the numbers are counted one (thousand bases), three
(thousand bases), five (thousand bases) upto thirty three (thousand bases) (in seventeen
base-pair steps).

The meaning of these verses is:

Rudra, come into and protect the 16,500 base pairs of the mtDNA

chatasrashcha me
ashhtau cha me dvaadasha cha me shhodasha cha me
vishatishcha me chaturvishatishcha meashhtaavishatishcha me
vaatrishachcha me shhattrishachcha me chatvarishachcha me
chatushchatvaarishachcha meashhtaachatvaarishachcha me

Similarly the bases of nuclear DNA are represented by the numbers four to forty-eight. In
nucleus of human cells, two chromosomes are present (XX or XY). Most human cells are
diploid in nature.

This means that the bases can be visualized as organized as two base-pairs (one base pair
in one chromosome, two base pairs in two chromosomes) and four bases. Hence it is
counted in steps of four.
Actually four indicates four hundred million bases. Similarly eight indicates eight
hundred million bases. And forty-eight indicates forty-eight hundred million bases.

These forty-eight hundred million bases are organized as 2400 million base pairs spread
across two chromosomes. Hence the numbers are counted as four, eight, twelve upto
forty-eight.

Though estimated base-pairs in human nucleus is 2900 million, 2400 million base-pairs
or 4800 million bases are common to apes, chimpanzees and homo-sapiens. This points
to a strange possibility that Vedas and Intelligence is not the privy of current homosapien
race, but probably a race much before that.

Ofcourse it is not quite clear that why we should take the first set of numbers as thousand
base pairs and next set of numbers as one hundred million base-pairs. I need a much
deeper understanding here.

Thus in this anuvaka, the Rishis invoke the blessings of the force of Rudra on the base-
pairs of mtDNA and base-pairs of nuclear DNA.

The meaning of these verses is:

Rudra, come into and protect the 2400 million base pairs of the nuclear DNA
