    The Midtown Wednesdays Conversation Matrix, built for Midtown Wednesdays Civic Forums convened by Myers University in collaboration with I-Open in 2006, offers an example of how to organize conversations loosely framed by a meta level of inquiry aligned with the strategic nature expressed by initiative partners. Midtown Wednesdays sought to examine three questions throughout programs: 1) What is our innovation opportunity? (2) What is our creative industry opportunity? and (3) What is our global opportunity? In addition, the matrix includes areas of attention to types of leaders engaged: civic, business, government, and academic. Framing of conversations via the categories of the Innovation Framework - a heuristic model for innovation investment in Open Source Economic Development generating thriving communities and their regions - helps coordinators, communicators, and conveners in the community maintain a loose alignment toward shared goals.
