Findings and Observations
(A)Profile of an investor
 Age group of up to 30yrs. (46.4%)
 Ma rried (62.5%)
 Post graduates (49.1%)
 Income level of Above Rs. 25000/ month (75.9% )

 There is a degree of association between Marital Status and the Investors


who prefers Life Insurance Schemes as a investment avenue is 0. 329.
 From Correla tion test , it is found there exist a negative correlation between
the age of the investor and his income percentage on investment.

 64.3% are investing their funds without taking the help of any assistance.

 31.3% tend to focus on the longer term progress of their investment portfolio.

 Takes moderate risk while investing their fund.

(D) Risk Assessment:

 58.9% assumes that the risk associated with Bank Deposits is absolutely safe.

 65.2% bothers if their investment value fluctuate in the market.

 46.4 % considers inflation as significant risk.

 40.2% accepts greater degree of risk to get higher return.


Recommenda tions
 A capital market regulator should undertake
educative and informative mechanisms through
Internet.

 The company need to place the portfolio of


investments with assured return as their core
product.

 The company should arrange a Stock Market


awareness programs so that young investors will
attract towards risk taking avenue with analyzing the
current market.

 Efforts should be made to attract the women investors by


providing right information and knowledge about media and
electronic media.

 Investors should be educated about the benefits of


investments in diversified industries and companies.

 People should think of investing in the stock market.

 The Government should have taken proper steps to regulate


the market operations.

Conclusion
 Investing in stock markets - a major challenge for professionals.

 The investors should be aware of the various hedging and


speculation strategies, which can be used for reducing their risk.

 Awareness of various uses of investments can help investors to


reduce risk and increase profits.

 The young people should start investing earlier so that they can
reap the benefits of investing in future.

 People should keep their eye open and keep updating themselves
about various investment avenues so that they can get safe returns.
