See-and-Type™
OVERVIEW
Thank you for using See-and-Type!
• See-and-Type is a screen keyboard series to help people who want to

type texts with the mouse without needing the keyboard. It has original
display of letters, colors and 3 interfaces for better visibility and typing.
• It consists of three software interfaces for different uses: Standard,

Compact and UltraCompact. This software was programmed in order to
help people with visual problems, especially with low vision (see-and-
type standard and compact) and also people with motor difficulties (see-
and-type ultracompact).
• It is also an useful educational tool for children to help typing with the
mouse and to teach how to spell the words correctly.
• See-and-Type allows you to enter text without the risk of triggering

some shortcut key. You can also select text size and color display for
better visibility.
• Very simple to use. Just enter the text and copy it to the desired
location outside the software (text editors, browsers, emails, etc).
• See-and-Type uses an original color scheme. For instance, the vowels

will always light green. We further detail these features.
See-and-Type can be and will be an useful tool for you and family. The
product is entirely free for personal use. If useful, visit our website and help

See-and-Type™
SEE-AND-TYPE ULTRACOMPACT
• See-and-Type UltraCompact aims to help people with mobility

disabilities. The user can type with lesser degrees of movement.
KEY COLORS
• See-and-Type will always have the vowels in green color, consonants in

yellow or orange and the symbols and numbers on white.
• Space key, BackSpace, Tab e Enter will appear in black color.
• After typing your text, use the copy text to clipboard button to paste the
document in the final destination (text editor, email, forum, etc).

HOW TO USE
We will use the See-and-Type Compact to better explain the operation

of the program. The other ones work the same way, just with different
interfaces.

• Using See-and-Type menu, we can change the font size, choose the
order of the window (always on top or normal), change the color display
and turn on / off the key sound.
TYPING THE TEXT
• Enter text using the left mouse button on the letters to type lowercase
letters (if "Caps Lock" is off).
• Use the right mouse button on the letters to enter the uppercase letter
(the "Caps Lock" is off). If the "Caps Lock" is on, the order is reversed.
The left button will type the uppercase and the right mouse button will
enter lowercase letters.

BACKSPACE
BackSpace
• Click the left mouse button on the backspace to erase the previous
character.
• Click the right mouse button on the backspace to clear the entire text
(clear all text).
COPY AND PASTE TEXT
• After typing the text, use the button to copy the entire text. Now, just
select the location you want and click the right mouse button and select
Paste (Ctrl + V).

• See-and-Type has 4 types of display. Please check the picture below:

FONT SIZE
• You can choose 5 different font sizes:

1. A – 12
2. A -18
3. A-36
4. A-48
5. A-72
• Therefore, you can choose the desired font size for better visibility and
comfort. It is important to remember that the text is exported
unformatted.

Obrigado por utilizar o See-and-Type™,
• O See-and-Type é uma série de teclados de tela de computador para

auxiliar pessoas que desejam digitar textos com o mouse, sem
necessitar do teclado. Possui esquemas próprios de letras, cores e
interfaces para facilitar a visualização e a digitação de textos.
• É composto por três softwares com interfaces para diferentes usos :

Standard, Compact e UltraCompact. Estes softwares foram
programados com o intuito de auxiliar pessoas com problemas visuais,
especialmente com baixa visão (see-and-type standard e compact) e
também pessoas com dificuldades motoras (see-and-type
ultracompact).
• Utilize o See-and-Type como ferramenta educacional para crianças,

facilitando o ensino de palavras e a digitação com o mouse.
• Permite a digitação de textos sem o risco de disparar alguma tecla de

atalho, além de permitir a escolha do tamanho do texto e de esquemas
de cores para melhor visualização.
• Digite o texto e copie o mesmo para o local desejado.
• Para facilitar a visualização, o See-and-Type utiliza um esquema de

cores próprio. Por exemplo, as vogais sempre terão cor verde claro.
Iremos detalhar posteriormente estas características.

SEE-AND-TYPE ULTRACOMPACT
• O See-and-Type UltraCompact tem como objetivo facilitar a digitação

de textos por pessoas com dificuldades motoras. Utiliza uma interface
própria para que o usuário possa digitar com menor grau de
movimentos.
CORES DAS TECLAS
• As interfaces See-and-Type sempre terão as vogais na cor verde, as

consoantes na cor amarela ou laranja e os símbolos e números em
branco.
• A tecla Space, BackSpace, Tab e Enter serão da cor preta.
• Para copiar o texto utilize a tecla vermelha com o ícone do texto.

COMO USAR
Vamos utilizar o See-and-Type Compact para melhor explicar o

funcionamento do programa. Os demais softwares funcionam de maneira
idêntica, apenas com interfaces diferentes.
Menu principal
Após digitar o texto, copie utilizando este botão
• Utilizando o menu do See-and-Type, podemos alterar o tamanho da

fonte, escolher a posição da janela (sempre no topo ou normal), alterar
o esquema de cores(“Display”) e liga/desligar o som das teclas.
DIGITANDO O TEXTO
• Para digitar o texto utilize o botão esquerdo do mouse sobre as letras
para digitar letras minúsculas (se o “Caps Lock” estiver desligado).
• Utilize o botão direito do mouse sobre as letras para digitar a letra
maiúscula ( se o “Caps Lock” estiver desligado). Se o “Caps Lock”
estiver ligado, a ordem se inverte. O botão esquerdo digitará as letras
maiúsculas e o botão direito as minúsculas.

BACKSPACE
BackSpace
• Clique o botão esquerdo do mouse sobre o BackSpace para apagar o

caracter anterior.
• Clique o botão direito do mouse sobre o BackSpace para limpar todo o

texto.
COPIANDO E COLANDO OS TEXTOS
• Após digitar o texto, utilize o botão de copiar todo o texto. Agora, basta
selecionar o local que desejar e clicar o botão direito do mouse e
selecionar colar (Ctrl+V).

• O See-and-Type possui 4 esquemas básicos de cores para digitação.

tamanhos de fonte para digitação.

• Desta forma, você poderá escolher a fonte desejada para melhor
visualização e comodidade. Vale a pena lembrar, a fonte do texto
exportado não terá o mesmo tamanho, facilitando a inserção do mesmo
em editores de texto para posterior impressão (texto é exportado no
formato somente texto).
