THEY ALL DRANK

1 Cor 10:4 And they all drank the same spiritual (supernaturally given)
drink. For they drank from a spiritual Rock which followed them [produced
by the sole power of God Himself without natural instrumentality], and the
Rock was Christ.

Sounds like charismatic church, doesn’t it? “Come and drink from the spiritual
rock”. The verse above tells us that THEY ALL DRANK. Their thirst was satisfied.
Their thirst was quenched. And we can all say “halleluyah” in one accord. But we
know that’s not the “rest of the story”……..

Nevertheless, God was not pleased with the great majority of them, for
they were overthrown and strewn down along [the ground] in the
wilderness.

Their bodies were strewn like cord wood all across the wilderness. GOD WAS NOT
PLEASED. Why? Read on…..

Now these things are examples (warnings and admonitions) for us not to

desire or crave or covet or lust after evil and carnal things as they did.

They desired, craved, coveted, and lusted after evil and carnal things. If there is
one thing certain that can be said about the “apostate church” in the United States
of America and elsewhere, it is this. They desire. They crave. They covet. They lust,
after evil and carnal things. Worse yet, the apostate church has cultivated a so
called church environment that satisfies the hunger for evil. It encourages physical
prosperity while the soul is naked and destitute.

There is so much treachery in “riches” beloved. The desire for the gadgets and toys
of this world keeps mother and father working full time to attempt to buy more and
more, never realizing that no amount of success in accumulating wealth can satisfy
the appetite of the evil and carnal heart. All the while children of so called Christian
families are raised in day care by people that the parents do not even know. These
day care folks, while they may meet the physical care requirements of the child,
they are also imparting their values and ethics into that child. Most of them are not
saved, not even in an apostate church.

Children are herded like goats, while mom and dad worry if there will be any
“extra” money left from the paycheck to spend on personal entertainment,
amusement, and pleasure. They continually compare themselves with their
neighbor, failing to realize that they are all headed deeper into the wilderness of
debt and lust.

Let some new toy hit the TV screen and out comes the calculator, and the bank
account and credit card balances are closely scrutinized to see just how long the
wait before this new idol can be purchased and made your own. Their money burns
a hole in their pocket. Debt is no problem, as long as I can satisfy my best lust
now.

Horrifically, the pastors set themselves up as an “example” of success, measured

by the fine home they live in, the luxury cars they drive, the diamonds on their
fingers, the silk on their backs, and all the gadgets and toys money can buy. Rocks
painted gold, and they love it so. The carnage is difficult to comprehend. The blind
leads the blind, without regard to truth and light. Their bellies have become their
god and their labors are purely to satisfy it’s appetites, and they are many.

Text like the one being considered here is not a popular subject in pulpits across
this land and even in places like India and Africa. Small wonder.

The alarm is being sounded once again by the Apostle…..can you hear it?

Do not be worshipers of false gods as some of them were, as it is written,
The people sat down to eat and drink [the sacrifices offered to the golden
calf at Horeb] and rose to sport (to dance and give way to jesting and
hilarity).

Have you looked into the mirror of the Word lately? See what it says? DON’T BE
WORSHIPPERS OF FALSE GODS. Do you think that only calves made of gold are pot
bellied figures of men made from clay are idols? Think again! Any passion or lust
aflame in the heart other than God Himself is an idol, beloved.

There is such a lack of alarm in the church today, such a sense of leisure and
comfort, that few can see the tsunami that is arriving at the shore. They eat and
drink, rise up to sport, and worse yet, they call jesting and hilarity the work of the
Holy Ghost! (Toronto blessing, et al) Hello!!! HELLO!!!

Anyone with enough courage that is willing to stand up and cry out…”REPENT!!! Or
PERISH!” is looked upon as a heretic, whose father is satan. “REPENT” is deemed
unloving, and therefore unchristlike. The voices crying in the wilderness are looked
upon as trouble makers, even enemies, outcasts who won’t submit to
denominational authority. Pastors who are really kings of their own kingdoms shriek
in horror at the sound of their voice. The Pastor will quickly tell you that “maybe
this is not the place for you”, and they are so right. Or you are called “legalist”, and
“we live by faith”. LIARS. You live by faith alright. Faith in your plastic money. Faith
in your soft living. Faith in your comfort, pleasure, amusement, entertainment,
toys, and gadgets. Faith in the pleasures of sexual immorality which only lasts a
moment! The more of them you have the more satisfied you think you are. They
never stop to realize that more and more appetites are being stimulated by the
bombardment of commercial advertisement, and the filth of the flesh that is being
consumed from watching TV and watching each other, naked, immoral, and
unashamed!!!!!

Men have relinquished their position of leadership and authority to women and
children. A man will do almost anything to satisfy the sexual lusts of his heart if
they are not crucified and placed under the power and control of the Holy Spirit. He
will go to any lengths and spare no cost including his own birthright as man and
head of household, if he is able to get his sexual needs met. Small wonder society
has become nothing more than fads and fetishes. Women are in power. The
apostate church has not escaped it’s clutches. Music that soothes the spirit of man
has been replaced with noise that soothes the flesh!

Furthermore, the bottom line of his pursuits is more fuel for the flame. Ten movie
channels on a 65” HD TV. Or pornography subscription on the laptop computer.
Instead of seeking out the secret place to commune with God, they seek out the
secret place to be alone with themselves and their immoral lusts.

Let me tell you something friend. A few years ago, a nationally known and highly
exalted TV Evangelist held a pastor’s conference in St. Louis, Mo. This was a very
large meeting, with thousands of pastors in attendance. It was held over three days
ending on Saturday. After the conference was concluded and all returned home, the
hotel association in St. Louis made an interesting discovery. Paid pornography use
in hotel rooms across the city had gone up 85% during the conference, and
returned to normal levels of use once the pastors left town.

Beloved, what is called church today, is in reality a sin soaked “bless me” club. It
tailors its message to satisfying the flesh, with a false sense of escape ahead, yet
no thought are concern is given to obedience and holiness.

What happened in the wilderness to the nation of Israel will seem like little more
than a Sunday School lesson compared to what is about to be unleashed on this
nation and its allies of greed. For we have not heeded the warnings, and we are
doomed to suffer the wrath of God. Oh the horror. Oh the panic. Preachers crying
“all is well” when death is standing at the door, even as I write this.

We must not gratify evil desire and indulge in immorality as some of them

did--and twenty-three thousand [suddenly] fell dead in a single day!

The warning is clear, as Paul again speaks under the true anointing of the Holy
Spirit. DO NOT GRATIFY AND INDULGE! What is the message from the pulpit
today? GRATIFY AND INDULGE. Oh it is cleverly disguised, but it is all about self,
“your best life now”. It designs a god after its own carnal desires and then pays
tribute to him through the disguise of a “preacher”. “BRING YOUR MONEY INTO THE
STORE HOUSE”, the preacher cries, and God will “POUR YOU OUT A BLESSING”. Yet
when there is no repentance, no remorse for sin, the preacher is the only one
getting “blessed” because he is on the receiving end of your generosity. Then when
you don’t get the “blessing” as promised, he will tell you quickly, “you don’t have
enough faith”, brother! “You need to sow more seed into my pocket, uh, I mean the
kingdom of God.” TWENTY AND THREE THOUSAND FELL DEAD IN A SINGLE DAY!

We must not gratify evil desire and indulge in immorality as some of
them did--and twenty-three thousand [suddenly] fell dead in a
single day!(G)

We should not tempt the Lord [try His patience, become a trial to

Him, critically appraise Him, and exploit His goodness] as some of

them did--and were killed by poisonous serpents;(H)

Nor discontentedly complain as some of them did--and were

out of the way entirely by the destroyer (death).

REPENT!!! Or PERISH!!!

DEATH awaits the apostate. Your house and your so called church buildings
are built on sand!!! Why? Because you will not do the will of the Father!!!
Listen to the Word, beloved. Listen to the warning…..

Now these things befell them by way of a figure [as an example

and warning to us]; they were written to admonish and fit us for
right action by good instruction, we in whose days the ages have
reached their climax (their consummation and concluding period).

Therefore let anyone who thinks he stands [who feels sure that

he has a steadfast mind and is standing firm], take heed lest he fall
[into sin].

Where oh where is the good instruction? Where oh where is the cry of

obedience unto our Holy God who took His wrath upon Himself, to spare us
from the same and yet we refuse to worship Him and Him alone. We love
our own god, made with our own hands, fashioned after our own sin soaked
hearts. We have rejected the Savior and His grace as much as those who
screamed “crucify Him, crucify Him”!!! And the fate of death and destruction
is so close one can almost taste it. Folks don’t heed the Word of God, they
heed the word of their preacher and their friends. They fall headlong into
sin, day by day, and all the while scream “safety” in grace alone. They have
not been converted and they are not saved, no matter what they call
themselves.

Will you come out from among them and be separate(holy)? Will you? I did
not say it was fun. Jesus did not tell Paul to go to Damascus where a man
would tell him how much fun serving Him was and how comfortable a life
style awaited him. No, He told Paul a man would tell him what things he
must suffer, for Christ. Those very things placed Paul in an atmosphere of
death, in order that he may be made alive in the riches and glory of Christ
Jesus.

What is God speaking to your heart, beloved. Can you hear the cry from the
wilderness today? Can you hear the Master calling “come to the Cross”, for
death to self? Will you forsake all other loves and all self life, that you may
most assuredly enter into eternal life? Will you set the course of your life to
obey God’s commandments no matter what the cost? Or will you, like the
rich young ruler, turn and sadly walk away from the Cross, onto the wide
road where the crowd lives and moves and has their being. Flip on your Wii
and play a game. Put on trash music from your ipod and plug into your ears
to drown out the still small voice. Noise and distraction is your steady diet,
because it keeps you mesmerized in an imaginary world of false security.
The warning has been given. Even today, the alarm has sounded. Do you
hear it.

I will close this message with this and Jesus made it perfectly clear, no ifs,
no ands, no buts, no compromise….

Luk 13:5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
