Major Responsibilities
 to collect selected news items to prepare news stories

 to correct news provided by reporters for grammar, typos and accuracy

 to summarize (pad/expand) news provided by reporters as and when required

 to select headlines for a piece of news/to give picture captions

 to coordinate with photographers for relevant pictures with stories

• Lyra (Pvt.) Ltd (September 2006 – July 2009) Working as an
Assistant Manager Export.

 Preparation of export documents which includes Form E, Commercial
invoice, Packing list, Insurance, Certificate of origin, etc.
 Make arrangements with the clearing & forwarding agent for air or
sea shipment.
 Follow-up with the customer (export) for payment.

In addition to above, I also render my services as “Technical Facilitator for


CE Marking” as well as “Web Designer”. As a Technical Facilitator, I was in
charge for getting the first ever EN 531 certificate in Pakistan. Designing,
content management and maintaining website of Lyra (Pvt.) Ltd
[www.lyra.com.pk] are the tasks I do as a web designer. The website is
available in 5 different languages.
