Bunny My Honey Says Quack, Quack, Squeak
This game is much like Simon Says, but with Bunny My You’ve heard of Duck, Duck, Goose — now comes Honey making the commands. If the command is preceded Quack, Quack, Squeak! Have all the children sit in a circle by “Bunny My Honey says,” the players may do as directed. except for one, who is designated “Bunny.” Bunny walks But if the command is not preceded by that phrases, anyone around the outside of the circle tapping each child on who obeys is “out” and has to sit down. Here are a few the shoulder or head and saying “quack” for each person. examples of actions that Bunny My Honey might command: Whenever Bunny chooses, he or she may shout “Squeak!” Bunny My Honey says, “Touch your long ears.” instead while tapping a child, then run around the circle. Bunny My Honey says, “Stomp your great big feet.” The child who was just tapped — “Miss Mouse” — must Bunny My Honey says, “Touch your twitchy nose.” chase Bunny in the same direction that Bunny is running. If Bunny My Honey says, “Hop up and down twice.” Bunny reaches the gap in the circle left by Miss Mouse and sits down before being tagged, Bunny is “safe,” and Miss The Little Honeys Song Mouse becomes the new Bunny. If Miss Mouse tags Bunny, however, Bunny must go around the circle again and repeat Inspire children to tap their musical talents (and show off the game. their special moves) by asking: How do you sing the Little Honeys song? How do you dance to it?
