Was knowledgeable about material being taught.

Engaged the students in the activity….. monitoring and testing their knowledge about farm animals.

Was consistent in maintaing order and keeping the students attention on the activity.

Reminded the students of your expectations when necessary……(was firm and assertive with J. Very patient with her before sending her from the
table. Mrs. Humphrey was very supportive and put her in time out!)

"What's going on over here? These belong to the green table and everyone can use the crayons."

"You do not need to be coloring on your chair. That is one of our rules!"

Comments:

Gave good instructions …….to individuals and small groups of children.

Modeled an example and had pictures of farm animals for students to look at and choose one to draw.

OK - "I have Old Macdonald's farm right here. But the barn is so empty…….what is missing? Right! The animals….You are going to pick an animal
that lives on a farm and draw that animal inside your barn. Let me know when you are finished."

Assessment:
Reviewed the completed sheets with each child:

"OK - And what do we have here…….a cow! Awesome! Read the bottom tome. Excellent. thanks for working so quietly! "

And what did you draw? What do chicks say?" 

Continued this procedure until each child had completed their barn and animal.

Comments:

Very warm and friendly with the children.

Great facial & body language.

Positive interactions with the students …. talks with a good strong clear voice.  

Gave encouragement and feedback in a supportive manner…..Worked well with the boy who was coloring the animal on the "animal" sheet.
Explained that this was the sheet for him to look at to see how to draw his animal. Very patient and helpful in getting him to draw………."See you
can make an oval for the body and look, rectangles for the legs." Now can we make some ears on the pig? Want to do that?" "Oh I am really proud
of you……….you did that all by yourself!"

Good job in encouraging students to work together. "Ask Allie what do pigs say."
