Cork International Folk Dance Festival Open Air
Performance At The Market Square Photo Michael Hussey

The sun came to Youghal and with it a hugely entertaining performance of open-air music, song and dance. Some of the best perform-
ers in the Cork International Folk Festival brought with it colour and magic to the East Cork town, including special guest star ’Sefirah’
a belly dancer with the Hungarian Group who performed a dance from the Middle East. Members of the Polish and Hungarian folk
dance contingents, along with the Owenabue Valley Traditional Group, Carrigaline kept the large group of locals and tourists alike
enthralled for over two hours. Cork’s 96 & 103FM were on site for a ’live link’ as one of the main sponsors of the Festival. Yes, it’s been
a long wait but summer has truly finally arrived! The Cork International Folk Dance Festival continues until 22nd July. For further
