 The Masonic Press Agency of
Romania’s (APMR) Secretary-General
has the honour and pleasure to announce
and present the 2010 edition of the
traditional Christmas Gala Concert of
Romania “CHRISTMAS FOR ALL”.
The event will be hosted by one of the
most prestigious and important historical
monuments of Romania the Athenaeum
Palace, in Bucharest (many of its
founders being Brethrens Freemasons).
Since October 2010 APMR is promoting
the event world wide in three languages
(English, Spanish and Romanian) among
Freemasons and foreign national and
international institutions, organizations,
foundations, associations etc. The event
is also presented by APMR on Masonic
World Events.
The identity of the vision of a large
number of social phenomena gave rise to
a group of intellectuals: "ROMANIAN
CULTURAL SOLIDARITY"
followed by the formation of a non-
governmental organization, called "ARS
XXI CULTURAL SOLIDARITY
FOR ROMANIA".
The original objective of this
Foundation was organizing artistic and
cultural events in order to attract all
those willing to express their active
solidarity with a variety of current social
phenomena which, unfortunately, just
leave indifferent those who are living a
free satiate and a without worry life.
The activity of the (SCR) Romanian
Cultural Solidarity Foundation was
developed in two main directions, both
oriented to charities. Health care in
hospitals and clinics and Organizing
cultural and artistic events for charity are
just a few of the Foundation’s activities.
Being the first Freemasonic
Foundation in Romania (SCR is
acronym for Supreme Council of
Romania - as in the AASR Supreme
Council of Romania) it is guided by
Masonic Principles for our profane
Brethrens.
During two hours, the Romanian
Athenaeum will host an outstanding
performance of high class. The host (Ion
CARAMITRU, former Minister of
Culture) will introduce the audience in
the magic of tango, and TRAFFIC
STRINGS Band (comprising nine
instrumentalists) will offer to the four
professional Tango dancers an
environment to initiate us in the
wonderful mystery of the tango. On
December 19th, 2010, from 7.00 p.m.,
the Romanian Athenaeum will host the
biggest Christmas concert for charity.
 Born on June 20th, 1881, the
Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite
Supreme Council of Romania was
founded by Sovereign Grand
Commander Constantin MOROIU
33º. On December 18th, 1921, Ion
PANGAL 33º as Sovereign Grand
Commander received the Recognition
Patent of the Supreme Council for
France (Supreme Conseil pour la
France), from its Sovereign Grand
Commander, Most Powerful Brethren
Rene RAYMOND 33º. In 1925, the
Supreme Council of Romania receives
recognition for the Supreme Council
of U.S. Southern Jurisdiction, led by
Most Powerful Brethren John Henry
COWELS 33º. Until 1944, the
Sovereign Grand Commander of
Romania was Ion PANGAL 33º. This
was followed for a period of seven
years (1944 - 1951), by Most Powerful
Brethren Michel NORADUNGHIAN
33º.
The Supreme Council of Romania
took the path of exile, into the Valley
of France, where French Brethrens
gave them shelter from the political
atrocities perpetrated in Romania. Ion
PANGAL 33º led the Supreme
Council of Romania, as Sovereign
Grand Commander, in exile until
1964. He is followed, in the period
5964 - 5970 by Sovereign Grand
Commander Constantin BELU 33º.
On June 7th, 1969, the Supreme
Council of France, led at the time by
Brethren Henri BITTARD 33º
reaffirmed the Supreme Council of
Romania Recognition Patent in exile.
In 1993, the Supreme Council of
Romania chose, after nearly half a
century of exile, a new Sovereign
Grand Commander, on Romanian soil
in the person of Brethren Dan
Amadeo LAZARESCU 33º.
Since 1997, the leadership of the
Supreme Council of Romania is taken
by Most Powerful Brethren Andre
Pierre SZAKVARY 33º. Just a year
after he was elected as head of the
Supreme Council of Romania, the
Sovereign Grand Commander
SZAKVARY received recognition of
the legitimacy of the origin of the
S.·.C. ·.R.·., on May 12th, 1998, within
the framework of the XLII European
Conference. The Supreme Council of
Romania is recognized as the sole
successor in direct line of the Supreme
Council founded in 1881.
 The S.C.R. Ars XXI Foundation’s President,
Sovereign Grand Commander of the AASR Supreme
Council of Romania, founded in 1881, Brethren Dr.
Andre Pierre SZAKVARY 33º wish you all a Merry
