ORACIÓN DE CONFESIÓN DE PECADOS (Call to Worship. Volume 38.1, 2004-2005, p. 90)

Unísono: Dios creador, perdónanos por fallar, al no cuidar tu maravillosa
creación, como buenos/as administradores. Hemos derrochado y hemos sido
despreocupados/as. Tu creación maravillosa ha sufrido. Perdónanos.

Perdona nuestro temor de hacer las cosas mal, nuestro temor de no ser
populares al hablar a favor de lo que sabemos que está bien. Perdónanos al ser
esclavizados/as por el silencio y por no levantar nuestras voces cuando sabemos
que debemos hacerlo. Perdónanos por no seguir a Cristo en los caminos de
compasión y bondad que debemos dar a todos los hijos e hijas de Dios. En el

DECLARACIÓN DE PERDÓN (Basado en Hebreos 2: 10-18)

Pastor/a: En Hebreos, Jesús es llamado «sumo sacerdote». Él es un sumo sacerdote
fiel y misericordioso que en todo se asemeja a sus hermanos y hermanas, para ser
un sumo sacerdote fiel y misericordioso al servicio de Dios, a fin de expiar los
pecados del pueblo. Por haber sufrido él mismo la tentación, puede socorrer a los
que son tentados.

Bendito Señor, tu has traido la luz de tu amor a nuestras tinieblas. Tu nos has
recordado las muchas maneras en que nos cuidas y nos guías. Este ha sido un
tiempo ocupado para muchos/as de nosotros/as. Hemos invertido nuestras
energías, nuestros recursos y a nosotros/as mismos/as en un sinnúmero de
actividades. Ahora estamos llegando a este nuevo año y podemos ver el nuevo venir,
y nos preguntamos como podremos tener la energía que este nuevo año demandará.
Ayúdanos a poner nuestra confianza y nuestras vidas en tu cuidado. Ayúdanos a
seguirte en todo lo que hagamos, de la misma manera que José escucho al ángel y
siguió tu voz. Danos la fortaleza y la valentía para lo que viene. Permite que el amor
sea la base de la cual salgan todas nuestras acciones. Bendícenos y matennos bajo tu

PRAYER OF CONFESSION (Call to Worship. Volume 38.1, 2004-2005, p. 90)

ALL: Creator God, forgive us for our failure to care for your wondrous creation
as good stewards. We have been wasteful and carefree. Your wondrous creation
has suffered. Forgive us.

Forgive us our fear of doing wrong things, our fear of being unpopular for
speaking out for what we know is right. Forgive us our enslavement by silence
and not speaking up when we should. Forgive us for not following Christ in the
way of compassion and kindness to all God’s children. Through Christ we pray.
Amen.

DECLARATION OF FORGIVENESS (Based on Hebrews 2: 10-18)

Pastor: In Hebrews, Jesus is called a “high priest”. For this reason he had to be made
like his brothers and sisters, fully human in every way, in order that he might
become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make
atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was
tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

Blessed Lord, into our darkness you have brought the Light of your love. You have
given to us a reminder of the many ways in which you care for us and guide us. This
has been a hectic time for so many of us. We have invested ourselves, our energies,
and our resources in a flurry of activities; and now we are coming to the end of this
calendar year, with a new year in view, and we wonder how we are going to have
the energy that the new year will demand. Help us place our trust and our lives in
your care. As Joseph listened to the angel telling him to follow, help us follow you in
all our ways. Give us strength and courage for the times ahead. Let love be the
foundation from which all our actions spring. Bless and keep us in your care, for we
ask this in Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
