Attorney, Partner

As a partner in mid-sized, national law firm, I serve as Attorney and Government Relations for
many public entities, including public charter schools, mental health agencies, municipalities,
colleges and universities, with a focus on public charter schools in Ohio and nationally.

Kent State University 2005 - present


Professor of Public Policy, Political Science Department

A Professor of State Government for the Columbus Program for Intergovernmental Issues and
other Political Science courses each year.

Ohio Attorney General 2005 - 2008


Attorney, Special Counsel

Appointed by Attorney General, Jim Petro, to represent various state entities in specific cases,
including Lakeland Community College, Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation, Ohio
Department of Education, and Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

Served as lead and assistant attorney in an active litigation firm that handled Appellate Law,
multiple jury trials (Criminal Law and Civil Law) and countless bench trials.

the creation of Ohio community school law (As Introduced, 1997) and value-
added standards as a measure of Ohio student achievement.
