Color Measurement and Control

X-Rite ColorMunki Measured Material

Plug-in Color Communication for Autodesk® 3D Software
An ideal base technology for enhancement of 3D visualization and design
applications, the X-Rite ColorMunki is a multifunctional tool that increases
design power and flexibility by accurately measuring color. ColorMunki is now
integrated with Autodesk 3ds Max® and Autodesk 3ds Max® Design software to
provide a calibrated rendering environment that allows for imagery generation
using “real” color representation for measured materials. Users can now quickly
and easily measure colors with the ColorMunki spectrophotometer and create a
palette of measured colors for use in their 3ds Max scenes. This capability assures
color validation and allows measured colors to be used in viewport display or
renderings by game developers, visual effects artists, graphic designers, architects
and engineers. The ColorMunki also provides the ability to calibrate and profile
displays for accurate color viewing, and color manage the printers, projectors and
communication of color in the workflow.
X-Rite ColorMunki Product Features
• Use palette of measured colors in your 3ds Max scenes
• All-in-one spectrophotometer is the only device needed to
profile monitors, projectors and printers and measure colors
• Self-guided interface offers a fast path to high quality custom
monitor, projector and printer profiles
• Allows calibration and profile of all devices to ensure the colors
seen on screen are the same colors seen in print
• Automatic compliance features eliminate need for user intervention
• User-specified light values accommodate different measurement
environments
• Ability to create custom display profile names or accept default
name before
• Fast scanning rapidly measures color test charts to reduce
profile creation time
• Ability to optimize printer profiles based on specific colors
Autodesk® or palettes
In industries where design nuance can mean the difference • Stores custom palettes for synchronization with design programs
between a successful product launch or a lost idea, agile technology • Integrated interactive help modules offer user-driven training
is a must. The combination of X-Rite ColorMunki with Autodesk 3ds
Max and 3ds Max Design software creates a dynamic environment
that both coordinates and expedites color measurement throughout X-Rite ColorMunki Specifications
the development process.
