Life gives ample opportunities to people in the name of obstacles, exposing individuals to
diverse situations and cultures .I am one of the blessed one who has accepted everything what
life has offered with open arms and learned, with every success, raising the performance bar
for myself and with every failure turning out to be a more experienced individual.
I competed with 300 odd students to get 1 seat out of 3, in a prestigious school at Lucknow
,got meritorious student scholarship for 6 consecutive years for not being burden on my
father and managed an old bicycle to travel 16 kms for my school education. Represented
school in various competitions and lead the house team for Cricket and finally became the
Prefect of the college. Life taught me deligince, preservance, teamwork and above all, self
confidence through this.
Being the first engineer from my village of 1200 population,I realized the drift between
urban and rural India where in rural India , it was shocking to know that 1 kg of sugar is still
a dream for few in my village .This inspired me to help an NGO, part time during 2005-06
with RTI .This experience taught me sense of belongingness to a society as a whole.
My Professional life opened the door of opportunities for me ,from being a teacher to an IT
consultant ,I got a glimpse of values which a teacher nurtures and imbibed
competetivness, rationalism, business models while moving up the higher echelons of the
corporate world , learned the details of IT industry along with managing diversity in terms of
culture and people with my International exposure.
To ISB class of 2012, I would add value as an Individual with diverse professional and
social experience who tries to bring smiles on every individual¶s face.

Presently I am working as a Technical Analyst with TCS, it is more of a Techno-functional

kind of a managerial assignment. Though my Carrier is progressing on a fast track, I need to
undergo a systemic management education which not only gives me degree but also
enriches my experience with respect to other industries as well, in order to prove my credits
for higher echelons of the Corporate world .
In the long term, I would like to own a conglomerate which pioneers from an agro based
industry to technical outsourcing and would like to prove that 1/6 of humanity is actually a
boon and not a bane. On the Social side, I would like to make people/organizations aware of
the climatic changes and urge them to take steps to pass the baton of climate of this beautiful
earth to our next generation µASIS¶, if not in a better condition. My Mother is Illiterate and
this is her dream that I do something for education, especially for the girls and would like to
pursue the same with a rigour either by adopting Government schools or by establishing a
society which will impart free education to girls.
The above stated goals are just ends and I foresee PGPEX as a means to achieve those.
PGPEX¶s One year advantage which saves times for a professional without discounting the
credit hours of study, its various emeritus professors, world class faculty and Various
excellence centres would help me in understanding not only the current global perspective
but also the future , its diverse students mix for would help in understanding the details about
other sectors and above all its c

Nothing fails like success because we don't learn from it. We learn only from failure.
:Kenneth Boudling
I was enjoying my job as a technical consultant in TCS but I always use to feel a Gap in my
overall learning curve as somewhere it was not multidirectional. I found a Way of bridging
this GAP by applying in Tata Administrative Services (TAS) which is a high profile, elite
general management services in Tata group .Generally the TAS cadre is either selected from
a top B schools or through an In-house process, which requires a Valid GMAT score and two
yearly appraisals in any of the Tata companies. The Selection process Comprises of
Application selection round followed by Group Discussion ,Case study presentation and
finally the directors round interview.
I was one of the 260 lucky candidates selected amongst 700 applicants in 2010. Finally 29
people were selected for final directors round Interview including me. The D-day came and
we all finalists were there in Bombay house for our final round. My Interview was very
positive as I was the star performer of my company and even the Panel looked quite satisfied
with me. The results came and my name was not there in the final list and the people who
made it finally from TCS were both having an MBA .The Feedback in Verbatim was ³ Acute
Business acumen, prioritizes thinks well, exceptional Convincing ability, great negotiation
skills, always politically correct, Confident ,exposed only to IT´. Maybe this was God's way
of making sure I don't give in to such temptations easily by making sure that I fail
innumerable times before finally succeeding through the correct means and that is where I did
my due diligence and found PGPEX suitable for my future Goals after losing in TAS.

I belong to a joint family where I have an elder brother with his wife and two kids, my
parents and we (I and my wife) live together. All the three ladies of the house are homemaker
and all three of us are bread winners. My brother is a food and civil supplies inspector and
my father is a retired government officer. Amongst the three, I am the highest paid individual
who provides cushion to the family expenses.
My father and brother have sacrificed lot for me during my education for which I tried to
reciprocate by buying a house for the family from my international remuneration, in which
we currently stay in Luck now. But as an Indian I have some savings which I would use to
pursue my dream of completing my MBA from ISB while performing my duties towards my
dependents.
If i leave the job to pursue my mba it will be an overall testing time for my family financially
though It would be anyhow impossible for me to complete my MBA without a loan , any
waiver in fee would come as a cool breeze to me and will be highly appreciated as it would
be providing me a financial cushion for my other requirements.

I would like to put up a case for nuture India scholarship as I fulfil the criteria for the same
like my salary is below 10 lakhs and I have my wife and parents dependent on me. I would
try to maintain the GPA required for the scholarship and would be a law binding student as I
have been a law abiding and socially responsible candidate till date.
To substantiate my case, I would like to reiterate the same essay which I have written for
tuition waiver:
