Hexagon Mantec UK is a private and independent educational institution providing tuitions and training to
students from the UK and Overseas.
We hope that you will find this prospectus a useful source of information.
Aim
We aim to ensure that student gain the necessary skills and personal development to fulfil their career goals.
Objective
Our objective is to provide a strong sense of community, modern up-to-date facilities and qualified lecturers
to support students towards passing the various external examination and assessment at first attempt.
We are able to achieve our aim and objective by the college strategic commitment in the following
activities:
The college is located very close to many essential and social amenities and the Manchester City Centre.
Whatever your education and training ambitions, we hope that Hexagon Mantec UK is the right choice and

1. STUDENT REGISTRATION
a. Individual prospective student must complete and submit the college application form to the college
administrator prior to admission.
c. Successful applicant will be notified in a letter confirming a conditional offer to the college and a request
for the payment of full tuition fee
(Other payment arrangement can be made with the administrator on request)
d. If the college is satisfied with the payment, we will send a certificate of admission with a visa letter within
10 working days of receiving the payment.
This document is very important part of requirement for obtaining student visa.
(We recommend that student pay full fee at once).
e. Successful student will attend induction and complete all other necessary formalities prior to the
commencement of the program, but the college will provide guidance for registration with external awarding
body.
f. It is very important that all students attend a regular minimum of 15hours per week organised study
during the course according to the class time table.
• Course timetable will be given at the beginning of each term (minimum of 15 hours and extra 6
hours self-managed learning/research time per week)
• Student must be punctual and attend all lessons.
• Student attendance record should not fall below 85 % during any academic year.
• All students must report to the administrator before going to the classroom for lecture to mark their
attendance in the morning.
• The administrator will visit each classroom in the afternoon to check that all the people on the
attendance list are still in the college before recording the attendance for the day in the general
attendance record sheet.
Absences
• Unavoidable absence must be reported immediately to the administrator by telephone with reason
and how long you expect to be away from the college.
• Student must provide medical certificate to cover absence of more than 4 college days in a month
unless approved by the college authority.
• Failure to comply with the attendance and absence policy may result into a disciplinary action
against the student with a warning letter.

• The college will send the first warning letter to the absent student after 4 days of absence to report
to the college authority within 3 working days of receiving the warning letter.
• A final warning letter will be sent to the student when there is an indication that the absent student is
nearing the point where it will be impossible to meet 85% of total attendance for the academic year.
(85% expected attendance)
• Failure to respond to the warning letter within 4 working days will result in the exclusion of the
student from the course and the college without any refund.
• A successful student who has been granted admission to the college but failed to report to classes
without any genuine reason within 5 working days will be sent a reminder letter highlighting the
home office attendance requirements and requesting the student to report to the college within 3
working days.
• When a student withdraw or leaves the college completely for any reason, the college administrator
must be notified within 5 working days
• Where a student defers studies after arrival, the UKBA required that the student must leave the UK
immediately and reapply for another visa when he/she is ready to resume studies.
• However the UKBA will be notified about the student absent, dismissal or withdrawal from
the college within 4 working days for absences in any one of the above cases.
3. NON ARRIVAL
Student from overseas who failed to obtain an entry clearance to study at Hexagon Mantec UK must notify
the college immediately in a letter to this effect. The student must also send original copy of the refusal
letter, original copy of the college certificate of admission, photocopy of all pages of passport. The college
administrator will provide necessary assistance as applicable.
If the college administrator cannot assist any longer, tuition fee will be refunded less £250 administrative
costs.
5. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY
The college is committed to a fair and equal access to opportunities in all its activities by promoting anti-
discriminating policy and practice in its operations. We will ensure that any individual who is in contact with
the college for any reason will be treated fairly and equally irrespective of his or her race, ethnicity, colour,
religion, political belief, age, gender, sexual orientation, education, economic background, physical or
mental conditions and marital status. The policy will be monitored regularly as part of our quality assurance
and services improvement.

8. OTHER POLICIES
a. The college reserved the right to change the course timetable at an appropriate time.
b. The college reserved the right to provide student attendance records to the home office and other
government authorities (if required).
c. The college reserved the right to refuse admission to any student in a fair manner.
d. The college reserved the right to discipline any student who failed to comply with the college policies,
procedure and code of conduct.
e. Student must pay personally for his/her accommodation, personal entertainment stationery, meals,
books, transportation, registration and assessment with awarding body and other expenses.
f. Terms and conditions of Internet usage and photocopy equipments are available on request from the
college administration.
9. ENTRY CLEARANCE
Overseas student are advised to seek information about UK student entry clearance from the British
Embassy/High Commission in his/her country.

Teaching methods will be explanatory, exploration and more interactive with lecturers encouraging and
motivating students to participate in discussions, group-work, individual research, question and answer.
RESOURCES
OHP: All lecturers are well trained to use the overhead projector to encourage pictorial learning.
COMPUTERS: All our computers are up-to-date and internet connected with broadband to support student
learning and research. (Advance booking is required for usage.)
TV & VIDEO: The College uses various relevant videos to enable student learning by visual and practical
knowledge of their subject area.
COURSE MATERIALS: Most courses will be taught with handout provided by each relevant lecturer.
However, some course materials may be obtained directly from the college intranet and relevant awarding
body.
LIBRARY: The College mini library has many recommended textbooks in various subjects for student’s
usage (See administrator). The college will support students to join Miles Platting local library which is
located across the road from the College and also to join Manchester City Central Library, which is one of
the best academic library in the UK. This library stocks a range of books and is located at Piccadilly, which
is 10minutes from the college.
The above procedure on library will also be repeated in our learning centre across the UK.
MAGAZINES AND JOURNALS: Major magazines and journals for various subjects are also available from
external awarding bodies to support student learning.
PHOTOCOPY: Photocopies facilities are available for student usage at a nominal charge (see
administrator).
ADVICE AND GUIDANCE: The College coordinator provides free advice and guidance to student on
various issues and signpost students to appropriate specialist if applicable.
MEDICAL CARE: We encourage all our full time and overseas student to register with a local doctor in
case of any medical care. Within the National Health Services (NHS) medical care is free for student, but
you may need to pay for medical prescriptions.
BANK: We provide reference letter for individual student to open a bank account for safety of maintenance
fund and tuition fee.

• Passes in all the above subjects or equivalent
• 2 GCE "A" Level Subjects or equivalent
• Student must be over 18 years old and be able to speak and write English at a proficient level.
OR
• 4 GCE "O" Level Subjects or equivalent
• Student must be over 18 years old and be able to speak and write English at a proficient level.
• Reference letter from previous employer that the student has two years working experience.
However the awarding body has the final decision as to the verification of previous qualification and
admission to the course

HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE
DURATION: 3 YEARS
AWARDING BODY: EDI/LCM
Minimum Entry qualification:
Health and Social Care technical certificate level 2 or equivalent and student must be over 18 years old.
Alternative entry requirement: A reference letter from previous employer that the student has two years working
experience in any capacity.
Progression will be based on passing internal assessment and demonstrate competence in the workplace through
the external assessment.
This award can be used to meet the University entry requirement to study a Degree in Nursing, Sociology or Social
Worker.
The college will support individual student to register with the relevant external awarding body for external
assessment.
This qualification requires student to obtain a job in the care sector in order to gain adequate practical experience to
achieve competence. This can be arranged with an agreement between the college assessor and the employer.

DURATION 1 YEAR
Entry requirement:
• Level 3 qualification in the subject area
• Occupational competence (The person must be working within the sector of the subject area at
a managerial of supervisory level)
Entry requirement
• Level 4 qualification in the subject area
• 2 years experience as an assessor in the sector
• Occupational competence (The person must be working within the sector of the subject area at
a managerial or supervisory level)
This award is designed for Verifiers who have responsibility for evaluating the internal assessment process,
monitoring and reviewing internal quality of audit systems and carrying out related internal verification or
moderation activities relating to quality assurance management.

2. Students are required to attend lessons regularly and punctually according to the course timetable.
3. Students will benefit from the course and increase career prospects in his/her country.
4. Overseas students must comply with home office regulations by attending a minimum of 15 hours of organised day
time studies per week.
5. The tuition fees must be paid in full on enrolment unless an agreement for installment is made with the college.
6. Cancellation: where written notice in received by the college prior to the course starting date £250 of the full fees
will be charged for administrative costs before refund. (Refund will be based on individual case)
8. Overseas students must check with the British High Commission in their country about the UK student entry
clearance.
10. The college authority will take a disciplinary action against any student who refused to comply with the college
rules and regulation.
11. Students must arrange for his/her accommodation, meals and stationeries but the college may offer help if
necessary.

The fee schedules do not include additional cost that may be incurred prior to and during the study period.
Student will be notified in case of any changes in fee schedule.
