Armaflex DuoSolar is a system solution with pre-installed feed and return pipe for solar hot-water applications. Armaflex DuoSolar is
used to connect the solar collectors with the hot-water storage tank in an easy and professional way. It optomises the thermal
efficiency of the entire system and increases the life expectancy of the installation. Thanks to the pre-insulation, the patented join split
connection system, and the integrated sensor cable, there are significant time savings during installation. Armaflex DuoSolar is
available in continuous coils to reduce waste and increase convenience.

Armaflex Solar insulation is also available in pre-slit tubing for retro-fitting This provides a perfect solution for insulating
existing pipe-work, particularly on older systems that were installed without insulation or with unsuitable insulation. The
split is easily re-joined with Armaflex Solar Tape, which provides a matching surface and high-quality long-term bond.

Pipe Size Insulation Thickness Coil Length Product Code Product Description
Installation Tip
Pre-slit solar tube should be installed with the seam facing downwards. This prevents water accumulation if the material is exposed to
rainfall or other incidental water. Apply Armaflex Solar Tape along the seam, applying even pressure across all areas of the tape to
activate the pressure-sensitive adhesive.

Environmental standards
• Zero Ozone Depleting Potential (ODP) - Armaflex is manufactured
without CFCs, HFCs or HCFCs, to provide a high-standard of environmental
compliance and meet regulations for Green Building design.
• Zero Global Warming Potential (GWP) - Armaflex insulation is manufactured
with blowing agents that do not contribute to global warming.
• Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) – Armaflex insulation is low VOC,
with no-off-gassing, which means faster building occupancy and compliance
with modern building regulations.
• Low VOC Adhesives - Armacell provides low-VOC adhesives for the joining of insulation,
ensuring all components of the system meet modern standards for construction sites.
