The Revelation (159) yousuf mahbubul Islam, PhD

Have you come across any two people who are exactly identical in all aspects? Specifically,
have you found anyone who is exactly the same as you? Do you feel that you are unique? If so,
does uniqueness speak of the value and importance given in creating you?

Imagine that all the people in your neighborhood, school or office were exactly the same as you.
How would that make you feel? Would you feel important? Being unique means special
attention has been given to make you different. Since we generally like ourselves, it means that
we have been carefully made with care and affection! So, how have we been put together? In
the most recent Revelation, the Qur’an, the Creator enlightens us:
“Man We did create from a quintessence of clay; then We placed him as (a drop of)
sperm in a place of rest firmly fixed; then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed
blood; then of that clot We made a lump; then We made out of that lump bones and
clothed the bones with flesh; then We developed out of it another creature: so blessed
be Allah the Best to Create!” [23.12 – 23.14]

What does the word quintessence mean? The Encarta Dictionary gives the meaning as the
purest or most perfect example of something. Science exploration in the Human Genome
Project sheds light on this.
“…every single cell (in the human body) possesses the ability to produce heart muscle,
skin, red blood cells or any other tissue in the body. Even though each cell contains a
complete genetic description of (every part of) the whole body, only some genes are
active at different times in different organs. For instance, every cell contains the codes
(or blueprints) for the development and functioning of the kidneys, yet only the relevant
genes are active in that organ, only at certain times in the development process.” {1}

Where and how are the codes stored?

“The necessary knowledge needed for the construction of the human body, the most
advanced and sophisticated "organism" on earth, is stored in a unique substance called
the DNA. DNA is a rather large molecule that is carefully protected in the cell nucleus,
and functions as a kind of data bank for the human body.” {1}

How much information is contained in the DNA?

“…one human DNA molecule contains enough information to fill a million-page
encyclopedia; or to fill about 1,000 books... This is to say that the nucleus of each cell
contains as much information as would fill a one-million-page encyclopedia, which is
used to control the functions of the human body…latest calculations have revealed that
this huge encyclopedia contains some 3 billion different "subjects."” {1}

The human cell{2} contains elements comparable to clay{3}, into which the DNA has been
inserted. Creation from clay has been mentioned in the books of Revelation such as the Bible
and the Qur’an:
“...We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by Your Hand.” [Isaiah
64:8, NLT] {4}

“He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery.” [55.14]

Therefore, each building block or cell, formed from the same materials as clay, contains the
complete set of “instructions” or genetic codes. As the cells divide, multiply and grow,
“Instead of a lump of flesh composed of identical cells, some of them turn into cells of
the eye, others form cells of the heart as per the blueprint given, and still others become
skin cells and cover the whole body. All the cells multiply as much as is needed for the
particular tissue they will construct, and start joining together to give the tissues the
structure they need, thus beginning to create different organs.” {1}

The question is how does each cell know when to do what? Verse 23.14 of the Qur’an gives the
answer:
“…We made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh …”

Unfortunately, today’s science chooses to avoid the question of how each cell happens to be
guided, e.g., when and where to become a “beauty-spot”! Revelation clearly answers this
question.
“It is Allah Who has…given you shapes and made your shapes beautiful…such is Allah
your Lord…” [40.64]

Revelation goes on to answer further questions:

“…He fashioned you in due proportion and breathed into you something of His Spirit.
And He gave you (the faculties of) hearing and sight and feeling (and understanding):
little thanks do you give!” [32.9]

How much work has gone into creating each individual? Does the Creator deserve our
gratefulness and adoration? Is it the Creator’s right to be thanked? How many of us are willing
to support the truth and do what is right?

3.113 “Not all of them are alike: of the People of the book are a portion that stand
(for the right); they rehearse the Signs of Allah all night long and then prostrate
themselves in adoration.”
In the most recent Revelation, Allah says:
“To you We sent the Scripture in truth confirming the scripture that came before it and
guarding it in safety; so judge between them by what Allah has Revealed and follow not
their vain desires diverging from the truth that has come to you. To each among you
have We prescribed a Law and an Open Way. If Allah had so willed He would have
made you (all) a single people but (His Plan is) to test you in what He has given you: so
strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is Allah; it is He that will show you
the truth of the matters in which you dispute.” [5.48]

3.114 “They believe in Allah and the Last Day; they enjoin what is right and forbid
what is wrong; and they (hasten) in (all) good works; they are in the ranks of the
righteous.”
“Before this We wrote in the Psalms after the Message (given to Moses): My servants
the righteous shall inherit the earth." Verily in the (Qur'an) is a Message for people
who would (truly) worship (the Creator) Allah.” [21.105 – 21.106]

See, for example:

“Then will all your people be righteous and they will possess the land forever…” [Isaiah
60:21, NIV] {5}

“The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein forever.” [Psalms 37:29, KJV] {6}
