The Convocation of Amity University Uttar Pradesh for the students who have
successfully completed their Academic Programmes in 2010 will be held on Thursday,
December 16, 2010 in Amity University Campus, Sector- 125, Noida. The students of the
previous batch of 2009 (PG Programme), who qualified in the supplementary examinations
held in the year 2010 will also be awarded Degrees in this Convocation.
Convocation is always one of the rare occasions of life and I invite you to please be
present in order to receive your Degree / Diploma / Certificate. We will appreciate if you kindly
confirm attending the Convocation, latest by 30 November 2010 on the format enclosed as
Annexure-I . Your confirmation along with Annexure should reach Mr. Vishal Dixit E.Mail

The Recipients who are not able to attend the Convocation due to one reason or the other
and wish to have their Degrees in absentia shall pay a fee of Rs. 500/- to the University. On
receipt of written request and the prescribed fee, Degrees can be had by either personally after
the Convocation or the same would be mailed by Registered post.
You are, therefore, requested to submit an application, in case not attending the
Convocation, to the Controller of Examination, with a Bank Draft of Rs. 500/- drawn in favour
of “ Amity University Uttar Pradesh” ; payable at NOIDA by giving your complete and correct
postal address on which your documents can be dispatched. Same information is to be
provided during on-line registration.

AUUP CONVOCATI ON FOR PROGRAM M ES
COM PLETED I N 2010
1. The Convocation of AUUP for the students passed out in the year 2010 will be held on
Thursday, December 16, 2010 as per Schedule below:-
Entry into the Convocation Hall & to be seated in the 10.45am to 11.00am

1.30pm to 2.30pm
Lunch
Presentation of Degrees/ Diploma/Marksheets/Value 2.30pm to 5.30pm

Return of Convocation Gowns
(i) Dress: Formal Dress will be worn for the function as indicated below:
5. Guests:
(a) The Recipient of the degree is allowed to bring maximum of two guests.
(b) Only parents, blood relations (brother/sister) or spouse of recipients are allowed.
(c) Children below 15 years of age are not allowed.
(d) Dress regulations will also apply to guests.
(e) Recipients desirous of bringing guests, will forward their particulars along with
their confirmation letter in the format given at Annexure – I by 30 November
2010 so that appropriate courtesy and hospitality is extended to them.
6. Participation:
(a) The Students whose confirmations are not received by 30 November 2010 will
not be allowed to attend the Convocation.
(b) The Students, who have confirmed, are required to report/register at the
stipulated time given in para-1.
(c) The Students, who fail to report / register by the stipulated time, will not be
allowed to attend the Convocation.
(d) The detailed instructions on the Conduct of the Convocation will be issued
separately at the time of the registration also.
All Candidates will be issued gowns and caps by the University and they will wear it
throughout the function. Gowns will be returned by them after the Convocation on the
same day to the gowns supplier.
8. Timings:
(a) The Recipients of the degrees, after registration by the stipulated time, will be
seated in the Convocation Hall by 11.00am for rehearsal and Instructions.
(b) Once seated, there will be no unnecessary movements in the Convocation Hall
and perfect discipline will be maintained.
(c) The Recipients are not to leave the Convocation Hall before the function is over
and the Academic Procession has left the Hall.
(d) The Recipients should make their travel plans keeping in mind that the
convocation will not be over before 7.30pm.
9. Procession:
All present in the Convocation Hall will rise when the Procession enters and when the
Procession leaves the Hall.
10. Refreshment:
Refreshments will be served before the convocation and lunch will be served after the
main convocation.
The Degrees, Marksheets and Value Addition Certificates will be presented by the
respective HOIs at designated venues.
12. Photography
b)Graduands can make payment to the photographer directly and give their addresses so
that the photograph can be posted to them directly by the photographer.
