STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Inspiration to pursue a career in engineering was kindled due to my consistent

high grades in pure sciences and mathematics right from my childhood. An eye for
reason and logic strong fundamentals, diligence and error free time bound computation
skills developed during school days helped me glide through the stiff competition to
make it to the college of engineering.

ACADEMIC PREPARATION:

In order to pursue the course of my choice, I needed to perform exceedingly well

in the entrance test (EAMCET), which I did with sincere efforts and dedication I was
ranked in the top 10% of approximately 120,000 aspirants. Thus I got a chance to begin
my career as an Undergraduate student in Electronics branch at the prestigious LBRCE
affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. At the undergraduate level also,
I maintained a good academic record.

UNDER GRADUATE PROGRAM:

During my undergraduate study, I was exposed to the various facets and

challenges of engineering course work. A wide spectrum of courses ranging from general
engineering to the hard core of my major Electronics engineering helped me to gain a
firm grasp of fundamentals. My graduate course syllabi encompassed a broad spectrum
of subjects in Adavanced Engineering mathematics and Electronics and Communications
like Electronics, Electrical Machines, Antennas & Wave Propagation, Network theory
and Analysis, Analog Communications, Elecrtical and Electronics Measurements,
Control Systems, Digital Electronics, Digital communications, Radar and Microwave
Engineering, Telivision and Satellite Communicationc, Computers and Microprocessors,
Electromagnetic Field theory. I also did some some courses in computers onpart time
basis, and got acquainted with different environments and languages, such as LINUX,
Windows 95,98,NT, Xp, C, VB, ORACLE, and MATLAB.

The intense classes and Laboratory work has developed my skills in theoretical
analysis and practical knowledge. My interest spans in the field of “COMPUTERS”.
Throughout my undergraduate program, I could develop good rapport with my professors
and student challenges. I have a fine academic record to my credit, presenting me with a
gamut of career of options. The various courses that I have taken so far has exposed me
to the scope of further study and strengthened my desire to gain more and more
knowledge.

I have chosen this university because of exciting current research going on in the
areas related to my field of interest and various other fields. I am confident that my
potential will be reflected in my graduate work and if given the opportunity, I assure you
that I shall maintain the highest standards. I hope my abilities; drive and diligence would

My earnest desire to continue my further studies at your graduate school stems

from the fact that yours is one of the outstanding Universities having a long track record
in academics. An expert faculty coupled with good research facilities backs your
institution. The other reason why I want to study in your prestigious university is that it
provides the kind of exposure needed to broaden my line of thought and undo and insular
prejudices that might be prevalent in me. Your University is a confluence of people from
every culture, nationality, religion race and ideology, I am sure that my exposure can help
me in broadening concept from the narrow confines.

IN CONCLUSION:

I am aware of the hard work and perseverance necessary for research work and
realize that it is not always as exciting as achieved results would seem to indicate. Hence
I would like to assure that I am setting out on the arduous path with absolute commitment
and preparation for necessary personal sacrifice. I am very confident that my research
effort will emerge into meaningful contribution.
