g. Utilities Water: The unit has operative bore wells in the factory
premises

Power: The unit has 33KV (Independent Bay/feeder in Grid)

exclusive power line, which has been constructed on a stretch
of 13 Kms from the substation to the plant.

There is an exclusive power tie up with OPTCL–Orissa Power

Transmission Corporation Limited.

The company has a 1.25 MW waste heat power plant using the
waste heat of the first kiln. This can be increased to 2.5 MW by
using the waste heat of the second kiln.

The plant has standby D.G Sets –

• 1250 KVA

• 750 KVA

• 625 KVA

• 475 KVA

• 125 KVA

Raw Material : The 2 most important raw materials for

sponge iron production –coal and iron ore –are readily
available through effective and reliable linkages resulting in
operational efficiencies.

The plant is surrounded by iron ore mines within a radius of 15

kms.

The company has linkages with 5 different suppliers in the

open market for iron ore supply.

Being close to the NH 215 (12kms) and the Toll Highway (3

kms), road transport of iron ore is cost effective.

Statutory Compliance: The unit has complied with all

statutory requirements and has no compliance pending. All
permissions and licenses are in place and operative on current
date.
