License Agreement

=================
This is a License Agreement between Maritime Education Sweden
AB and you, the Licensee. Please read this License Agreement
carefully.
License and restrictions on use
----------------------------
Maritime Education Sweden AB agrees to sell and you agree to buy,
a license for use of the Maritime Communications Software, CD-
ROM(s) (and other diskettes, if any), manuals and documentation in
the ordered delivery (the Licensed Property) under the terms of
this agreement.
You agree NOT to do any of the following:
1. Copy part or all of the manuals and documentation delivered for
any purpose, or copy part or all of the computer programs contained
in the Licensed Property (Programs) or the information stored on
the CD-ROM(s) for purpose other than to install them to use by
yourself on a single computer.
2. Run the program on or gain access to the CD-ROM(s) from more
than one machine at a time, or install them in a fashion that makes
them available for running on or access from more than one
machine at a time. More than one machine includes, among other
things, use on a local area network (LAN) or a multi user computer
with several terminals (unless a sitelicense arrangement has been
made with you in writing).
3. Rent, lend, give, lease, sub license or assign Licensed Property
(including copies) to others.
4. Not allow others then those within your organization to use the
licenced property unless specifivly authorized to do so by
Maritimed Education Sweden AB.
5. Create a competitive program or a program having a
substantially similar look and feel or translate, decompose,
disassemble or reverse engineer the programs.
6. Alter, modify or adapt any of the Licensed Property or create
derivative work based on the Licensed Property (a derivative work
is a translation or other form in which all of the Licensed Property
may be recast, transformed or adapted).
Warranty and limitation of remedies
---------------------------------
Maritime Education Sweden AB warrants the tangible media in this
package (and other included diskettes, if any) and the CD-ROM(s) to
be free of defects in material or workmanship for a period of 90
days from the date of the original purchase. Maritime Education
Sweden AB will replace the defective media if notified in writing
of the defect within the warranty period, provided that the
defected media is immediately returned to Maritime Education
Sweden AB, and your remedy is limited to such replacement. If
failure of the diskette(s) or CD-ROM(s) results from accidents,
misuse or misapplication, Maritime Education Sweden AB has no
duty to replace the faulty diskette(s) or CD-ROM(s).
Your remedy for breach of the limited warranty is limited to that
stated in the preceding text. In no event will Maritime Education
Sweden AB be liable for direct, indirect, general, special,
incidental, exemplary or consequential damage arising out of the
use or inability to use the Licensed Property, even if Maritime
Education Sweden AB has been advised of the possibility of such
damages. Maritime Education Sweden AB disclaims all warranties
of merchant ability, non infringement and fitness for a particular
purpose, other than those stated in the preceding text.
Ownership
---------
The Licensed Property has not been sold to you. It is licensed to you
on the terms of this License Agreement. Maritime Education
Sweden AB retains title to an ownership of the Licensed Property.
Maritime Education Sweden AB has a copyright covering the
Programs themselves (and the contents of other included diskettes,
if any) and the CD-ROM(s), included the text retrieved displayed and
output by the Programs.
You acknowledge that the Licensed Property is confidential
information in which Maritime Education Sweden AB owns trade
secrets and other rights and agree to protect the confidentiality of
the Licensed Property. Maritime Education Sweden AB or its
design has the right to audit your computer and software usage
to determine whether your use is in compliance with this License
Agreement.
Miscellaneous
------------
This license will terminate without notice from Maritime
Education Sweden AB if you fail to comply with any provision of
this Agreement. You agree on such termination to destroy the
Licensed Property together with all the copies, modifications and
merged portions in any form. This document is our entire
agreement. No representative of Maritime Education Sweden AB
other than authorised officer may alter its terms and such officer
may do so only in writing.
This agreement will be governed by the laws of Sweden and
international treaties may apply. Maritime Education Sweden AB
may assign its rights and delegate its duties thereunder to any
party. Your rights and duties to this Agreement cannot be assigned
or delegated in whole or in part.

Equipment
=========
To be able to play the CD-ROM, Maritime Communications-GMDSS,
you need the following equipment:
PC Windows
-486 processor 66 Mhz or Pentium (recommended)
-Windows version 3.1 or later
-QuickTime for Windows version 2.0.3 installed
(included on the CD-ROM Maritime Communications- GMDSS)
-8 Mb of physical RAM
-CD-ROM drive, 2x speed or faster
-Colour monitor, minimum 640 x 480 pixels, 256 colours
-8-bit sound board, Sondblaster compatible
-3 Mb free hard disk space
- Small external speakers or headphones recommended
The program can also be played on a PC Windows 386, equipped as
above. However the PC 386 will run the program with reduced
speed.
Macintosh
-68030 33 MHz or faster processor (68040 or PowerPC recommended)
- System 7.1 or later
-QuickTime version 2.1 or later installed (included on the CD-ROM
Maritime Communications-GMDSS)
-8 Mb of physical RAM
-A CD-ROM drive, 2x speed or faster
-Colour monitor, minimum 640 x 480 pixels, 256 colours
-3 Mb free hard disk space
-Small external speakers or headphones recommended
The Maritime Communications program is designed for use on
Macintosh or PC Windows systems. For installation information,
please read the User Guide.

If you have any technical problems with the installation or the use
of the program, please contact Maritime Education Sweden AB.
You can phone us between 08.00-16.00, Monday to Friday (UTC) or
send us a fax at any time.
We will need the following information from you:
1. Computer model, processor type, amount of RAM, type of monitor.
2. If you are using a PC Windows system: what type of video board
is installed?
3. Exactly what were you doing when the problem occurred?
4. Does the same problem happen if you do the same thing again?
5. Exactly what error dialogue texts etc did you see?
