While using the Art Lab, students should be


aware that they are only using the specific programs
that were referred to during instruction. Adobe Creative
Suite and Microsoft Office have the primary programs
that will be used in the Art Lab. Internet will only be
used to search for references to current work. Email
accounts may be used on a limited basis for instructional
purposes only and for saving and sending files related to
the assignment. Students using the Internet for email,

Any user not abiding by the districts policies


and misusing Internet connections shall be immediately
reported to the school principal. Internet connection
rights may be immediately suspended at the discretion
of the Superintendent. Guardians will be notified and a
review of the specifics of the case will be held. After
reviewing the details of the case, the principal will
make a recommendation for the student.

OTHER FORMS OF TECHNOLOGY
IN THE CLASSROOM
Cell phone use is not permitted during the
school hours at Eastridge High School. Students that
choose to use their cell phone for calls or text messaging
will have their phone taken to the principal’s office. A
guardian will be contacted to repossess the phone. If a
student refuses to hand over their phone, security may
be called and the incident will be discussed with the
principal. If required, a referral will be written and
placed into the student’s file.

Phones are available for emergency use


throughout the building at Eastridge. If a call is
