Purification by Fire Using the Hebrew Letter Shin

Introduction

Clearing a blocked charka can be a complex and laborious practice. Clearing long term blocks
often requires long periods of self-analysis, willed change and the revealing and letting go of
suppressed emotions. Once a charka is cleared, it's not necessarily cleared forever. In fact,
very rarely is this the case. If regular clearing exercises are not done, the charkas will tend to
collect what amounts to psychic residue over time.

Contrary to the popular image of the enlightened sage with no problems or worries, most
people on the spiritual path tend to have a fair amount of stress in their lives. This is an
inevitable consequence of running large amounts of energy through your system, willfully
changing on a regular basis, and generally working seriously with any sort of self-
development. A natural response to stress is to defend against it by restricting one or more of
the charkas. A closed charka is an unclean charka is a blocked charka.

In theory, when we're 100 percent enlightened, we won't hold on to our stress reactions, and
never allow our charkas to become blocked. Until then, we need to do some periodic purging
and cleansing to make sure that our system is running smoothly.

The following ritual is useful for clearing out small blockages in the charkas. It's essentially a
maintenance ritual. It is not meant to take the place of self analysis in the case of larger
blocks. If any of your charkas have never been completely cleared, then I strongly advise
using gentler methods. Breathing exercises, hatha yoga, and the Middle Pillar (which doesn't
work directly on the charkas per say, but works along similar enough methods), along with a
good deal of patience and self-analysis will serve you better if this is the case.

The ritual uses the Hebrew letter Shin as a purifying spiritual fire, which burns away the
residue built up in all parts of the psychic system and energizes each chakra with light and
power. The ritual is good to do after opening by Watchtower or the Bornless Rite, the
momentum and energy built up by the opening will greatly strengthen the power of the ritual.

Ritual

Having opened by Watchtower or with the Bornless Rite, visualize a bright flaming red Shin
above the head. Imagine that it is radiating holiness and power, causing the crown chakra to
radiate brilliantly from above the head.

Say: "I hereby invoke the forces and powers of the Hebrew Letter Shin, so that by them I may
be cleansed and purified."

Vibrate: SHIN

"I invoke the Holy and Sacred Fire, so that I may be cleansed of impurites."

Vibrate: SHIN

"Ash Mezareph, triple tongued flame of Holy Fire, purify and strengthen my soul."
Vibrate: SHIN

Bring the Shin down to the third eye, using the flames emenating from the letter to burn away
any blockages. You may find that there are clumps of dirt or black grit in the 3rd eye itself or
around the sides of the head, these are psychic blockages and may be found in any or all of
the chakras, burn it all away with the flames. When the 3rd eye is cleansed, move the Shin
into it's center. Feel the power of the Holy Light radiating out from the center of your head.

Bring the Shin down to your throat, again using the flames to burn away any blockages. When
the Shin has been moved into the center of your throat, feel it's brilliant energy radiated
through your throat and up through your mouth.

Bring the Shin down to your heart center, burning away the blockages. Feel the energy
radiating out from your heart center, here you should feel a profound sense of love and
gratitude, don't be alarmed if this causes a sort of emotional catharsis. Picture two smaller
Shins moving to your shoulders and down your arms, burning away impurities and blockages
along the way. Let the light go all the way down to your hands and through each of your
fingers.

Bring the Shin down to your solar plexus, burning away the blockages. Feel the energy
radiating out from your solar plexus. This is your center of power, feel the strength and
energy therein.

Bring the Shin down to your navel, burning away the blockages. Feel the energy radiating out
from your lower abdomen.

Bring the Shin down to your perineum, burning away the blockages. Feel the energy radiating
out from between your legs, strengthening and purifying your sexuality.

Lastly, bring the Shin down through your legs to your feet, burning away any blockages along
the way. You may want to visualize two centers of light, one for each leg. When the Shin gets
to your feet, send it down into the ground until only the top of it's radiant light is touching the
soles of your feet. Feel it purifying the lowest reaches of your aura.

Bring the Shin back up, through your feet and legs and all of your chakras (feeling a pleasant
burst of energy as it passes through each one), back up to your crown chakra above your head.

Say: "I hereby proclaim that I have been purified by the Holy Fire, the blockages have been
burned away and I am cleansed."

Let the letter Shin be absorbed back into the white light.

Considerations

Usually the letter Shin will not descend to the next level until all of the blockages have been
burned away. It may take a few minutes to completely cleanse any or all of the chakra centers,
as well as to cleanse the arms and the legs. The blockages may appear as dirt, grit or some
other sort of residue, sometimes building up to the point where it appears as solid
impenetrable rock. Be patient, let the flames burn away a little at a time. It is possible to
intensify the flames simply by willing it so, and to be effective the flames should be pretty
intense, but starting a raging inferno in your psychic system can lead to a sort of nervous
energy that is probably harmful to you. If your blockages simply cannot be burned through, or
the Shin cannot be made to go beyond a certain point, don't force it. Send the Shin back to
your crown chakra. Just as with the Middle Pillar light and kundalini, you don't want to force
this energy through. If your blocks are too big to be burned through, use the Middle Pillar
ritual to gently render them more accessible over time by focusing the light on the area of the
block. If you can't move the Middle Pillar light through the blocked area then you should
under no circumstances be doing this ritual.

Remember, making changes to your energy will often result in both changes in your
psychology and changes in your environment. Doing a ritual in which you submit yourself to
a purification by fire can lead to some pretty drastic changes. What constitutes blockages in
your aura will most often corrospond to negative or destructive psychological patterns.
Changing these patterns quickly may require that you be put into some drastic circumstance
or other, possibly leading to a crisis situation which will ultimately cause the issue (or pattern
causing the blockage) in question to come to the surface, where you can consciously observe
and change it. Magic always takes the easiest path possible to manifest its result. This is why
this exercise is recommended for more advanced practitioners. The advanced practitioner will
have probably already dealt with some major obstacles, and will have had some experience in
dealing with crisis situations in a calm and rational manner. It is advised that this ritual is
done only after proficiency in the banishing rituals, the Middle Pillar, elemental and planetary
invocations, and either the Watchtower or the Bornless Rite has been gained. It is my opinion
that when the practitioner reaches that level in their work, they will inevitably have faced a
certain amount of their own personal demons and will be prepared to face and integrate some
of the more deep seated aspects of their unconscious shadow
