Time, Talent & Information Management
for
Personal Success & National Development
(Roles & Responsibilities of an Individual & the Society)

1- Introduction:
As an individual we posses naturally or have access to the resources namely time,
talent & information that can make real difference if utilized properly. Time is a
resource that equal for all individuals but it’s common observation that some
succeed in accomplishing their tasks & achieving the goal determined for success
while others fail.
Talent is our natural ability endowed to every individual for accomplishment of
his individual & social responsibilities. It’s like seed that germinates, grows &
bear fruit if get proper environment otherwise lost into nothingness. It’s our
responsibility to recognize it use its fill.
Information is the key to make decisions & determine our course of action but the
recent outbreak of information resulted into information chaos where we have to
be very selective otherwise we carryon wasting our time in data collection & that
never ends and we never reach to a decision. A lot have been written & on the
topic of time & talent that needs to be revisited in relevance with the information
out break.
During current era of information chaos, I feel it’s an addition to chaos that is already
deep rooted our society in the field of politics, economic planning & its execution and
other spheres of life. Still the natural law demands to be competitive for our survival
& growth. In this situation we require to work on multilevel to avail all possible
opportunities required to step forward & contribute positively to bring a positive
change in our lives.
Time, talent & information are intangible resources if their importance is realised we
can achieve continuous growth at personal level contributing positively at national
level. If individuals are trained to manage & realize the importance of these resources
their roles will be less affected by the inconsistency in our social, economic &
political spheres of lives and as individuals we’ll be able to set good examples &
nationally we’ll have more number of stable individual & households. And if some
institutional supervision becomes available, such individuals can play better role in
associations with other fellow beings.
The subject research is based on the assumption if the available resources are applied
responsibly by the resource owners which are individuals in this case, we can do a bit
more than mere criticising our existing social & political setup. And consequently
we’ll be less affected by the rampant changes, and can play vital role to develop a
stable society.

1.1- Background:
The study is review of the observations made during 15 years of which
includes 4 years of overseas working life in various fields of education,
journalism, financial sector, real estate, advertising & business analysis.
During this long period I found that these common resources are wasted
commonly without any sense of loss in masses. If somebody losses a few
coins we find him regretful but unfortunately after loss of hours, days, months
& years we are ever ready for a further loss. Thus contribute & stand
responsible for low standard of living , low national productively & have
scarce success stories.
1.2- Population of the study:
Pakistani community in United Arab Emirates who initiated the institutional &
infrastructural development but now they are at defensive position as
compared with their Indian & Filipinos. The study will include the Pakistani
executives, entrepreneurs & professionals.

1.3- The objective of study is to explore the prospects of better contribution

without any major investment.

1.4- The study will have significant impact on life of Pakistanies residing in
Emirates – this significance can be extended to all overseas Pakistanies & will
have a substantial improvement in national income.

2- Data Collection, Processing, Analysis & Interpretation

Data will be collected from practical day to situations, physical interaction with
the community that will include interviews, questionnaire, focus group
discussions, community forums & Pakistan consulate & Embassy.

The data collected from various resources will be interpreted on generally

accepted standards – resulting to definite conclusions.

Excel will be used as analysis & interpretation tool.

3- Conclusion, Recommendations & Limitations

The final outcome of study will be how the correct utilization of the resources
available in abundance can make difference.

Recommendation will cover that state should responsibility of the community to

contribute positively. This will be in context with other states which are definitely
not more resourceful than us but their communities have confidence and back up.
As this recommendation is in control of resource owners – the next
recommendation is make existing community forums effective. Third may explore
to create a new forum with the clear defined objectives. Any or all of the above
will be responsible to for training the individual how to make the best use of
precious available resources.

The ultimate objective will be to restore the confidence of individuals that they
can contribute positively with resources which given to them the providence.
They are not helpless so they need not to be hopeless. They are the part of a bigger
unit their contribution will benefit it. Hence their personal role/ contribution is not
limited to their own self but extends to national level.

Value of the correct use of time, talent & information will be made explicit that
are available to everyone.

Does Pakistan lack resources or will to grow & develop continuously?

Our track record after independence shows leap & gap. For a brief period we do well
that follows a gap in growth.
Rampant changes in governing style & lack of consistency in policies
Should we blame our government for the failure or should we share the responsibility
towards the noble cause & contribute
Does our personal lives reflect something different from our national practices?
