Treasured Letters

Through him every rusted heart is brought to life

and the rust is removed by a single glance.

He cures the sick with the sweetness of the water he gives

to the people of love, true sincerity and light.

His 'Ain is an ever-flowing spring,

His Baa a plague upon the wicked.

His Daal always leads to Allah,

His Alif has made the Faqir intimate with Ihsan.

His Laam condemns every nafs commanding to wrong,

his Qaaf stops them from all wickedness and harm.

His Alif has composed a vast oeuvre for the people,

His Daal has drawn them near to the Deen and the Light.

His Raa has raised a generation's youth,

Their good character manifesting in their generosity and fineness.

These are the treasured letters manifest in his name,

The best of names, and that is no boast.

Oh Allah, grant always wellbeing and good health

To a Shaykh, a servant of all the people of dhikr.

Peace be upon the one who, when brought near to his Lord
on the Day of Gathering, says, liMy Ummah, my Ummah."

And upon his family and all the noble companions,

And all who follow and tread in their footsteps.
