Dear Family and Friends: December 2009

Blessings to you! This time a year ago we wrote to you concerning our continuing ministry here
in Waveland, MS. As many of you know, we have been here in Mississippi for 2 years now successfully
doing all kinds of ministries.
Originally, our commitment was going to be for one year, and then grew to two years. Our goals
were to honor God in all we say and do and to reach hurting people through volunteering our time and
energy in four ways:
A.? The construction ministry of the Southern District of the Christian & Missionary Alliance
B.? Children͛s ministry program
C.? Church Plant ministry of the Southern District of the C&MA
D.? Small Groups and Bible Studies.
We͛re happy to report that by God͛s grace all of these areas are underway.

God has been doing miraculous things in our life here in Mississippi, our relationship with him
has grown deeper, and our reliance has become even stronger with Him then it has ever been. Our
commitment to the Christian Life Center has been completed. Even though we would love to stay, we
believe God has other things in store for us. The district superintendent Fred King would like us to stay in
the Southern District and so would Frank Smith, the Church Health Director/District Hurricane Relief
Coordinator. And of course, we have not felt God saying that it is time to leave the Gulf Coast of
Mississippi. Earlier this summer, we had a meeting Fred King and he asked if we would like to do a
church plant and proceeded in suggesting several cities where we could go to do this. Long story short
God did not open any of those doors. Time was growing short and finances too, as you could tell in one
of our last update letters, so we had to officially notify the CLC that our time was up with them do to
finances.
The day after we had notified the CLC that we could no long be able to continue full time
ministry with them, the team from Calgary, Alberta, Canada came to us. They were volunteering with us
that week and were working in Gulfport at the Freedom Hall Community/Ministry Center. They also
have partnered with the C&MA Gulf Coast Relief Centers several times in the last two years. Well, after
hearing of our situation and financial dilemma, they had recommended that we team up with Pastor
Darren in Gulfport to help get the Freedom Hall up and running and be part of the pastoral staff there.
The Canadian team had also talked to Pastor Darren about this and he said, ͞I would love to have John
and his family join us in this venture that God has us on͟. I had to remind our Canadian brethren that
we still have the same dilemma-- that is the finical end of things need to be taken care of as well and
that we would not be able to minister full time unless we had full support to do so. They said they would
willing to contact people in their churches and businesses to see if they could help raise support for not
only my family but also Pastor Darren͛s family as well. This way we could remain in full time ministry
here on the Gulf Coast. So, we proceed to investigate this door that seemed to be opening. One of the
first things that we had to do was to get approval from the Southern District of the C&MA, and they
gave us their full support .

Now one thing that you must realize that I have not mentioned is that Darren and his family has
been in Gulfport since right after Katrina. They have not had a building or a staff or a large base of
volunteers to work from. It has just been Darren his wife Henrietta, and their seven children. Since I
began at the CLC in Dec 2007, I have been working with Darren and the ministry God has called him and
his family to in whichever way I could, whether it just words of encouragement or sending thirty
volunteers over to work on the Freedom Hall. In any way I could, I tried to make sure that he knew that
he was not in this alone.
You are probably wondering what is next; Darren and I have sat down and worked out what my role at
The Freedom Hall community/ministry center of Gulfport, MS would look like. Please remember the
ministry is in its infancy, so there probably will be changes as some of the goals are reached. Our first
goal is to help Darren by freeing up his precious time. I will be taking a leading role in the Freedom Hall
building renovations. This building was purchased and given to the ministry by CAMA (a international
ministry outreach arm of the C&MA). This will enable the ministry team (including both our families) to
implement community ministries such as trade skills training, youth ministries, discipleship, and
community relationships. Christy will be bring her experience of working in the Common Grounds Café
at the CLC to help get the Liberty Café started and open for regular community outreach in Gulfport.

As we have extended our commitment here in Mississippi we are asking for your support for
next year. We are asking for people to come along side us in Prayer and in financial support for covering
of 2010. If God also leads you to assist us financially, please mark your donation on the mail-in portion of
this letter. Please prayerfully consider partnering with us for next year.?We are creating these
partnerships, but not just to raise funds. It is also a means by which others can share in the Lord͛s
blessings of the ministry͛s involvement. It is a Biblical approach (please read 2 Corinthians 9:6-12) and a
means by which you can be involved in helping the helpless, and reaching others for Christ all at the
same time.

We can͛t say thank you enough to those who have prayed, given, called, written, made trips
here, and encouraged us the past two years. You͛re contributing not just to take care of our needs, but
to the work of God͛s Kingdom and you will be blessed for that (please read Matt. 10:42). After you have
considered your commitment to our ministry, please fill out the portion of the paper on the next page.
We would like to have an accurate account of everyone for communication purposes, and for those
renewing for next year. We also need you to respond, so we will know where we stand.

As for your donations, please make all checks out to: V
    with

on the memo line. It is very important for IRS compliance that you don͛t
put our name on the check. Then send it to V

Thank you all, and may God͛s Blessings be upon you and your family,

The Rohrmayer Family

2 Corinthians 9:6-12

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap
generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion,
for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times;
having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. V

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will
enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on
every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many
expressions of thanks to God.
