Directions:
Read each article paying close attention to (1) the research question being asked, (2) the
method used to address the research question, and (3) the data (evidence) that those
methods collected. Skim quickly through literature reviews and theoretical frameworks as
those are not what we’re interested in at the moment.

3. Are you convinced by the findings and conclusions the authors make? Why or why
not?
4. Would you have used different methods to answer the research question? What
would you have done?
5. Which article do you think does the best of convincing you of their argument? Why?
6. Which article is the least convincing? Why?
7. Which article provides the most insight into the practice of weddings?
