Declaration of Independence from the Constraints of Time

When in the course of human events one comes to realize an imposed cultural practice that has
become oppressive to the well being of the individual and society as a whole, it is the duty of the
people to depose these forces and create in its stead a more effective working partnership among
government, business, and the people. The omnipotent nature of Time and its effects on society
has imposed undue and overtly strict constraints on our professional and personal time, thus
creating an inability to form close relationships with friends and loved ones and producing an
unrelenting anxiety to perform sufficiently.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all beings are permitted the unalienable right to be
exempt from the constraints of Time.

The frenzied and frenetic speed in which society encourages an individual to perform by,
through the misguided belief that such a pace proves one’s ability to be productive, efficient, and
beneficial to the nation, instead creates a community of peoples devoid of the forethought and
deliberation that is essential in maintaining the success and well being of one’s mind, body
and heart and, ultimately, of one’s country.

Too much is expected of an individual or group in too short an amount of Time; the ability to
achieve true inspiration and original thought is impeded by inadequate opportunity.

Time is essential in the possibility and deliverance of revolutions of thought, technology, and
creed in a society. In the absence of a proper climate for these changes to occur, advancements
and growth can not be developed, and therefore society can no longer support its citizens amid
the planet’s growth and progress.
Throughout the generations, we have attempted in many different fashions to thwart your
chronological destruction of our kind. We constantly work towards the preservation of life,
and the forward momentum of our kind as a whole, but time has always negatively
intervened. Great thinkers have been removed from this world before being able to achieve
their fullest potential.

We, therefore, the Representatives of all sentient beings gather here today to proclaim
society’s independence from the constraints of Time. We will no longer be held down by the
Oppressor that is Time and those who enforce its cruelty. We will no longer identify ourselves
with these harsh and barbaric restrictions that Time imposes upon us.

We the undersigned hereby pledge our lives, liberty, and property to the fulfillment of this
declaration.
