UPCOMING EVENTS
Food For Mood – New series of workshops: January – March 2011 *Free and open to all*
On Tuesday afternoons, starting January 11th, CoolTan Arts will be running
workshops around the production of the Food For Mood cookbook.
Everyone is welcome, and there will be a variety of artistic and practical
activities relating to books and food:
- contributing recipes and discussing food
- creative writing, local research, interviews
- writing, editing, design and layout
- learning about the world of book publishing
- food heritage of Southwark
For anyone who's interested, this is a chance to be on the steering committee for creating the cookbook.
If you'd rather just attend for enjoyment, that's fine too - you can do as much or as little as you like!
Come along on the 11th Jan and take part in this exciting project. We look forward to seeing you there.

CoolTan Arts Open Day: Tuesday 25th January from 2.30pm- 5pm
Come and join us for our open day on Tuesday 25th January, from 2.30-5pm, find out more about CoolTan Arts
and how you can get involved.
There’ll be a short presentation about CoolTan’s workshops and activities, the referral process and a short
introduction to Personalisation at 2.30pm. Then you have the opportunity to try one of our taster workshops
from 3pm onwards, including our new ‘Food for Mood’ Workshop.

Welcome to Jenny Irish
We have a new member of staff at CoolTan Arts – welcome to our new Operations Director Jenny Irish.

The Personalisation Event planned for the 14th January has been postponed, while further information about
the Personalisation process is being developed. Southwark LINK and members of the SUC’s focus group on
Personalisation will be involved with this event, and if you are interested in helping to plan and develop this
event please let me know. It has been suggested that the event is to take place in early February, but is yet to
be confirmed.

Self-Advocacy Training Skills Programme
Self-advocacy skills training can assist in knowing and accessing your rights and getting your
voice heard in many situations.
Workshops continue: Wednesday mornings from 11am, Thursday afternoons from 2pm at
CoolTan Arts unless otherwise advertised.
There will be an opening of Programme 2 Self-advocacy Skills Training with "An Introduction
to Advocacy". Programme 1 will run concurrently to completion in early 2011.

Services for Health and Social Care Organisations, mental health practitioners, GPs, social
workers, key workers…
CoolTan Arts can work with GPs and other health professionals to meet the social care needs of their clients.
We are very keen to meet you and your teams and tell you more about the services CoolTan Arts offers.
