BS MULTIMEDIA ARTS

The BS MULTIMEDIA ARTS & SCIENCE is a multi - disciplinary arts and


sciences program which offers a wide range of courses in arts , design ,
multimedia development , and multimedia production . Specialized tracks in
3D animation , video production , and graphic design make up its curriculum .

This program equips competencies in programming , freehand and


computer art , 2D/3D animation , web design and applications , graphic design
desktop publication , digital imaging , audio and video production , and
computer games design .
This is an interdisciplinary program where students and faculty work in close
collaboration with colleagues and peers from a variety of arts and sciences
programs. Based on their choice of emphasis areas and electives, students develop
a solid foundation in video art and production, interactive art and design (including
Web design), and two- and three-dimensional animation. Through a balance of
courses in theory, criticism and practice, students develop an understanding of
design principles as applied to digital media. Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Arts
degree, students will have the technical experience, theoretical background and
problem-solving skills necessary for careers in multimedia or for graduate studies.
Program can be completed by choosing a emphasis from Computer Animation or
Interactive Design or Video Art and Design.

Animator – 2D / 3D

Artists/Animators - There is still a shortage on the market of experienced 3D


animators. Top grads from programs like Ringling and Vancouver are still getting
offers in the $50-$60K range. Of course, that is for the top talent. There are more
bad demo reels out there than there are fish in the sea . Lead artists with a hit
console title to their credit are entertaining offers in the low six figures. There are a
lot of console projects in development that are screaming for talent.

Web Designer

According to statistics, the average salary for a basic web designer is right
around $50,000 a year. While this by all means a decent income for nearly
anyone, there are several factors that are used to determine your exact
salary when working as a web designer. And depending on your exact
circumstances, you may be earning less or even more than this for yourself.

Graphic Designer
The current median wage for graphic designers is around $35,000, with
