Introduction:
CholaTube is a videosharing script developed on Joomla CMS and have a
tight integration with jomsocial to provide a comprehensive and flexible
videosharing platform to start your youtube clone in minutes.

Scope:

Scope of this document is to help you with the installation and configuration of
CholaTube

Pre-requisites:
1) Joomla Installed
2) Jomsocial Installed

Installation Instructions:
CholaLauncher Mode:

Chola Launcher is a quickstart for new websites.Advantage of this approach

is that you can launch your website with pre-configured template to start your video
sharing website.


Note: This is recommended only for new websites.

Step 1 : CholaLauncher
Copy the Chola_Launcher.zip file to your website root directory.

Step 2: CholaLauncher Unzip
Uninstall the Chola_Launcher.zip .

Step 3: CholaLauncher KickStart
Navigate to browser and type in the below and follow the onscreen guidance.
http://<websitename>/kickstart.php

Note: Make sure you have right permissions for the website root folder for
autoextract.

Step 4: CholaLauncher database
If you havent created the database for your joomla installation,please create the
same and feed the details to the kickstart.

Manual Installation Mode:

Manual installation mode is recommended for existing website which needs

to install the CholaTube.This may be little intimidating in the beginning but you can
browse through it easily by following the below steps.


Note: This mode is recommended for existing as well as new websites.

Click on complete your installation button and navigate to layout tab.Choose
CholaTube as template in jomsocial configuration.(Follow this step if you want to
use your own jomsocial template)

Install the mod_rokajaxsearch.zip through joomla extension manager and enable it
in the search position.(Get it from link http://www.rockettheme.com/extensions-
joomla/rokajaxsearch )

Step 10: My Account Hello Me

Install the hello_me module from jomsocial and configure the My Account
menu.Type in the myaccount as module position since it will not be available to
select.

The default size of the player is very small,you can set it to right size in the jomsocial
configuration as below.Choose 16:9

Step 22: Use your own jomsocial template

Ex: Blueface template

1) Copy the videos.video.php from cholatube folder to blueface folder

2) Copy the content of cholatube/css/style.css to blueface/css/style.css(Note: Copy
only the content to the end of the file)

CholaTube comes with two industry renowned and top video players.You can
choose which one you want to use from the Global Configuration.All the setups
related to the players are available in the plugin settings.You need to procure the
license to remove the logo.

JWPlayer:
Select JWPlayer if you need to support the HTML5 Video play capability.You have to
convert your videos to mp4 format to play the video on IOS devices like iphone and
ipad.Enable the Zencoder and S3 integration to encode the videos on mp4 format.

Pay-Per-View Configuration:

Pay-per-View system enables CholaTube customers to sell their original videos in

their website through invideous.com. Create a publisher account with
invidieous.com before enabling the Pay-per-View system. This feature is currently
supported only in JWPlayer and only enabled for your uploaded videos and not
youtube videos.

Below are the steps for registering your website with invideous.com. You need to
register as publisher.

After registering, Navigate to Settings ->Technical

Add your website here and it must be approved.

Get Your PID and enter the value in JWPlayer Plugin settings.

Congrats !!! Your Pay-per-View system is configured and you can sell the videos on
your website as subscription.

Simply upload a video and access the video,it will automatically display in your
invidious.com website like below.

Click on the paywall icon to configure the options for the videos.

After configuration,you should be able to view a popup after a video plays for 10
secs.
