More so, science, technology and society is the
application of a skilled technique and general truth and how it
affects our society and vice versa. Science and technology has
impacted our society in such a large number of ways that its
evidence is everywhere.
Just think about scientific and technological innovations
like , the inventions of telephone, ever since it was invented,
society desired a more mobile ways to communicate with
people, hence the invention of the mobile phone. Moreover,
the same can be said about mail, now we have e-mail which are
being sent within a day, more than that of mail sent via the post
office for a year.
The innovations that science and technology have on
society can be both intended and unintended, and both
outcomes are equally important. Some of these effects are as
follows: values are changed because expectations and reality
are changed.
Ethics of some societies like America, Britain and China
e.t.c. are changed as a result of technological and scientific
innovation. Science and technology also simplified people’s
lifestyle by which it is easier to gain information via the internet,
attending classes online and more specialized jobs being created
as result of the new technological inventions.
Science, technology and society are more than just the
sum of their parts. In spite of the seeming differences between
science and technology, they are ultimately linked and

symbiotic. This is because technology will be crippled and
blinded, if not for the new knowledge and ideas which science
provides. On the other hand, science will not progress if
technology is not supplied with new techniques and powers.
Furthermore, without science and technology, no
society will flourish and developed, and without society, science
and technology will not exist, because science and technology
are the driving forces and it is the society that is being driven.
Society demands products and inventors must create
them in order to appease us. And because the growth of
technology tends to create more jobs and the needs for certified
professionals is vast.
Science, technology and society can be said to have
provided a unique opportunity to study, not just how and why
thing happened throughout history, but also answer why they
happened.
