Abstract: The energy situation is an indicator of market growth, raise of living standards, and reducing poverty. But from
the hand of that increase, came the global warming, and declining of nonrenewable energy sources. Here, the reader can
find an analysis of the energy situation in 2007 (most recent data that currently has the World Bank).

The energy situation is an indicator of market growth, alternative sources and not Eastern Europe (another great
raise of living standards, and reducing poverty. But from producer, according to Figure 1) who keep their
the hand of that increase, came the global warming, and alternative generation less than 5%.
declining of nonrenewable energy sources. Here, the
reader can find an analysis of the energy situation in
20071 (most recent data that currently has the World
Bank2).

Figure 1, shows the largest power generation in Asia,

31,98%3 of the total world generation, and there, the
Chinese phenomenon provides 52% Europe is among
the smaller generators: this due the “tertiarisation" 4. It
also shows the low position of Africa and Latin America,
despite having to Brazil (an emerging economy).
Besides the above, it is worth mentioning that compared
to the first global data for Energy Generation in all
countries5 has been an increase in 22% of the Energy
generation in the world since 1995.

On the other hand, Figure 3 shows that the production is

less expensive in Asia: despite having outliers (box plot
with a high value in the upper quartile) and despite most
consumption is above the median (see figure 3), it is also
-compared with the other continents in figure-, which
consumes less energy per capita.

Moreover, and as mentioned earlier, with increased

energy consumption and generation, also comes the
increased use of renewable energy sources. Figure 2
shows that the regions of Asia and North America are
already consuming more than 10% of generation from
