Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR CIVIL ENGINEER

(Relevant part of the JD shall apply based on assignments)

Project Management

• Supervising construction of Buildings, Residential Township. Periodic reviewing & monitoring


the progress of the projects for ensuring completion of projects within the scheduled time & cost
parameters.

• Monitoring projects with respect cost, resource development, quality compliance & manpower
planning on project sites. Securing on site project activities and overseeing the performance of
contractors ensuring compliance with quality assurance plans.

• Managing or construction activities including providing technical inputs for methodologies of


construction and coordination with site management activities.

• Planning effective manpower deployment and works scheduling of qualified workforce. Guiding
site stop to address and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Budget & Estimation and Rate Analysis

• Computation of the Rate Analysis of the items as per specifications.

• Preparation of the detailed Estimation comprising of Civil Structure, Civil Interiors ,Loose &
Fixed furniture, Plumbing & Sanitary and External Developments. Coordination and Compiling of
the estimation works from other specialized branches like Electrical. IT & Telecommunications,
Horticulture, F & B and Security.

• Preparation of the detail Budgets of the upcoming projects and strict monitoring over the
ongoing projects in wake of the cost keeping within the sanctioned amount.

• Reconciling of the Budgets with respect to the actual cost incurred after the completion of the
projects.

Quality Assurance

• Adapt and implement a stage-by-stage Quality Monitoring System to ensure adherence to


technical specifications and quality standards.

• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 standards. Handle related
formalities and documentation.

Co-ordination:

• Network with Architects / Consultants / Contractors to ascertain technical specifications,


construction related essentials, based on the prevalent rules.
