History

FROM 1953 TO DATE "ZELARI PIANTE" HAS DISTINGUISHED ITSELF THANKS TO ITS GENUINE DESIRE TO GROW, DEMONSTRATING ITS
ENTREPRENEURIAL ABILITIES. THE OPERATIVE SYNERGY WITH THE OTHER COMPANIES OF THE ZELARI GROUP HAS ESTABLISHED AND
ACHIEVED A LEADING AND PROMINENT ROLE ON THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET.

"Zelari Piante", the first established within the group avails itself of the most advanced technologies in the
cultivation and typological classification of new varieties of plants, aiming to use the product not only as a
live and vital presence in the territory but also as an artistic interpretation; that of a gardener, who is able to
make nature protagonist.
Over the years the commercial development in Europe has never stopped.
In fact, today annual export volume is 1,000,000 plants in 16 European countries.
These achievements are obtained through great managerial ability, but above
through a feature that this company that has been passing down for generations:
the passion for plants.

"ZELARI GROUP" IS MADE UP OF DIFFERENT REALITIES, CREATED IN ORDER TO OFFER A WIDE RANGE OF SERVICES WITHIN
AGRICULTURE, PLANTS, LANDSCAPING, AND BUILDINGS SECTORS, AVAILING ITSELF OF THE OPERATIVE SYNERGY OF THE
COMPANIES THAT COMPOSE IT, BASED ON INTERCOMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE VARIOUS AREAS OF ACTIVITY.

The Zelari family started its traditional activity of nursery gardening in 1953 with the "Zelari" Farm.
At the moment they produce ornamental plants over a surface of approximately 150 hectares, divided into two
macro-areas that have pedoclimatic features that are favourable to the different types of cultivation that are carried
out on them.
Wholesale sales is relative to the Domestic and European markets, especially in this latter where the company is
concentrating its effort on widespread penetration through partnership initiatives with specialised companies in
order to promote the company's products.
Aiming for competitiveness together with reaching the objective of expanding the range of the services offered,
brought another two specialised professional companies to work with Zelari, in the following sectors:
- building of green areas and landscaping;
- building and estate services.
In 1979, Zelari starts Euroambiente srl, that supplies planning, landscaping, planting and maintenance services to
private and local authorities and in 1986 the ITAF srl, that takes care of building, ordinary and extraordinary
maintenance of buildings, and estate services for third parties.

ZELARI PLANTS IS A STRUCTURED AND ORGANISED COMPANY WHICH APPROACHES THE DOMESTIC MARKET
FOLLOWING THE PRINCIPLE STANDARDS LINKED TO PRODUCT QUALITY AND EFFICIENT SERVICE.

A passion for the job and experience gained, have led to complete professional reliability, the
knowledge that all productive and commercial divisions have been optimized to the maximum in

service that ensures the punctuality and integrity of product delivery throughout Europe.

SELECTION OF PLANTS FOR OUR CLIENTS. CHECKING THEIR QUALITY, UNIFORMITY
AND THAT THEY CONFORM TO REQUIRED STANDARDS.

The plants are packed and loaded according to defined criteria in order to maintain
their integrity.
Upon client request, a labelling, pre-pricing and bar-coding service is available for
each individual plant.

organize the transport of
plants from our nurseries to

The nursery

GROWING IN POTS
When cultivating in pots all the most
recent and advanced technical
acquirements are applied.
In over 30 years of experience in
this type of production, the
substratum has been carefully
calibrated in a specific way
according to the different species
and varieties. More than 1,500,000
litres of water are distributed per
day only in our main nursery,
integrated with a solution of
nutrients on a daily basis
according to the most up to date
standards, as well as fed from our
basins and wells; this is what
grows our plants. The slow-acting
fertilizer mix, which lasts
proportionally according to the
length of time that the plant is in
the pot, as well as optimising
growth while the plant is still in our
nurseries, guarantees the
luxuriousness of our plants even
when they are placed for sale at
our clients' locations.

GROWING IN OPEN GROUND

Cultivation that is carried out in the
open field and conducted
according to the most modern
techniques (careful pruning,
targeted treatments, and standard
transplants), is aimed to guarantee
plants that meet complete
phytosanitary measures and
minimising the risks involved in the
transplantation process, thus
obtaining plants that are well-
developed, homogeneous and
stable, ideal both for direct
planting and for successive pot
labelling in our nurseries.
