perfomed again this season at the
Surmit ft. Hidh Schml.
The perforrnbnce followed the tradition
of "commedia.del arter'r and ltalian version
of the Englistr Shakespearian theatre. The
pLay gives en air of orignality. Tire
stage ttbecane'r Renaissance Venirce, with a
marvelous backdrop and flats painted by
Terry Dagradi, and a great patchr.tork cur-
tain. Sentimental canals and banana boatg
were included in the setiling. The actirg
troupe brough 1n ali propsr scenery, and
costur€s with then dor.tn the aisles. There
was cpnfusion, a si'rri11 wtlistler and on
ttre stage began a narvelous interpretation
of Goldonits Renaissance lta1y.
