Introduction to Study:

Solar water heating (SWH) systems comprise several innovations and

many mature renewable energy technologies which have been accepted in most
countries for many years. SWH has been widely used in Israel, Australia, Japan,
Austria, China & India.
In a "close-coupled" SWH system the storage tank is horizontally
mounted immediately above the solar collectors on the roof. No pumping is
required as the hot water naturally rises into the tank through thermosiphon
flow. In a "pump-circulated" system the storage tank is ground or floor mounted
and is below the level of the collectors; a circulating pump moves water or heat
transfer fluid between the tank and the collectors.
SWH systems are designed to deliver the optimum amount of hot water
for most of the year. However, in winter there sometimes may not be sufficient
solar heat gain to deliver sufficient hot water. In this case a gas or electric
booster is normally used to heat the water.

This is already published data collected from booklets and internet and

Working Principle of Flat-Plate Solar Water Heating

System (Delite, Marvel):

Black colour absorbs maximum energy incidents on it as compared to any

other colors. This fundamental property of black colour absorbing the energy is

called as 'Black body absorption Principle.' Sudarshan Saur Solar Water Heating
System works on this basic principle.
Energy of the SUN rays is absorbed by black coated absorber panel in
solar collector. Due to which absorber panel becomes hot. This heat is
conducted to the water flowing in the tubes of absorber Panel and the water
becomes hot. The water so heated is carried to storage tank. This water
circulation from solar absorber panel to storage tank is achieved by two ways.
A) Thermosyphon circulation:
Hot water is lighter than cold water hence it moves upward in the hot
water storage tank. And cold water tries to moves downward. This internal flow
of water particles is called 'Thermosyphon circulation'.
The storage tank is placed
at higher level than collector
box. As the water becomes hot
in the tubes of absorber panel, it
flows upwards in storage tank.
The same is replaced by
relatively heavier cold water in
storage tank.
So the flow of water continues till all the water in storage tank attains
highest temperature equal to the temperature in the tubes of absorber panel.
This is a total natural phenomenon, there is no need to start or stop this
circulation. It will automatically start in the morning hours when sun rays fall on
collector box, and it will automatically stop when sun rays are not there.
Forced Flow Solar Water Heating System :

For Capacities more than 3000 LPDs the pressure produced by the
Thermosyphon circulation is not sufficient to move the water. Hence the
additional pump is required to force the water inside the tubes of absorber panel.

Such systems are called Forced Circulation Solar Water Heating Systems
In case of Close Loop Forced Circulation Solar Water Heating System
water is sucked by pump from storage tank and further fed to the same tank after
rising certain temperature which is not the final desired temperature and the
desired temperature will be attained after gradual heating at the end of day.
This is used where maximum energy of SUN is to be absorbed
irrespective of specific outlet water temperature.

He is dealing for whole solapur district as dealer as well as direct seller to the
customers. His turnover is over Rupees 70 lakhs per annum.
After sales service:
Saur has 5 Years of manufacturer warranty; also dealer is providing
inspection to the sold products every year for maintenance purpose, with the
help of four employees and service team provided by company. Repairing is
covered under warranty and allowed by dealer. Customer can contact to the
customer care phone numbers for complaints as well approaching directly to the
dealer.
Schemes:
Dealer allows discounts to the customers. Also allows taking benefits of
subsidies provided by the government to the customers.
Advertisement:
Company advertises on National TV channels. Dealer advertises by local
Medias like TV, hoardings, newspapers, pamphlets. Also actively participates in
