Replenishment actually means by dictionary “Filling again by supplying what has

been used up”, which holds a major part in Retail industry.

We, LV does the same in 2 methods based on the store type, based on SIM settings.

LV decides the store type as

1.MultiLocationalZone
2. Non-MultiLocationalZone

Making a store MulitZone or Non Multi based on the parameter “Multi loc/keepall” in
CFGADM for a store.

If it is set to ‘1’ then the store is “MultiLocationZone”.

If it is set to ‘0’ then the store is “Non-MultiLocationZone”.

Non-MultiLocationZone.

There will be only 2 different stock areas types available i.e. “D” type and “M” type. To
make any stock area D/M, can be done in ART111.
Normally for NonMultiLocational zone there should be only two type of stock areas
available one “M’ type and one ‘D’type.
One is MAG i.e.‘M’ type and other one is DEP i.e ‘D’ type

When ever the stock Entry (INVOICE/Transfers) happens, after we validate the Entry the
stock will be updated in the stock area. To which stock area it has to update is based on
the parameter “stk area updated….” In CFGART. Usually we do it to ‘D’ type stock
area.

So normally the parameter will have the data as DEP, then the Validated Stock Entry will
update the qty in DEP.
Note: Decision to which stock area it has to update will be taken by Store.

So let us assume that – The stock has been arrived and DEP stock area has been updated.
Now, when we take option “70.30.39-Store automatic replenishment” The stock will
be transferred to MAG based on its capacity it can take. And in the report the movement
done from DEP to MAG will be shown. In NonMultiLocational zone, always the
replenishment is done to “MAG” stock area only. It is hard coded. So no other chance.

In other case let us assume that in CFGART, the parameter “stk area updated….” Has
the data “MAG”. That means when ever the stock entry is validated the QTY will be
updated in MAG. In this case, if we take option “70.30.39-Store automatic

replenishment”, the replenishment will not happen, as it is not needed. In the report also,
there won’t be any movements shown.

MultiLocationalZone

For a MultiLocationalZone – Replenishment process is a bit typical. Cause it deals with

keepall and Non-keepall items.

For this type of store two “D” type and two or more than “M” type stock areas will be
available for sure.

“D” type :

One ‘D’ type Stock area for keepall items and second ‘D’ type stock area for Non
-Keepall items. Making a Keepall/Non-keepall ‘D’ type stock area is based on the
parameter “Keepall stock……” in ART111.

For example,

DEP- a ‘D’ type stock area is having ‘1’ for the parameter “Keepall stock….:” In
ART111. That means while stock entry the keepall items qty will be updated in DEP.

BCK- a ‘D’ type stock area is having ‘0’ for the parameter “Keepall stock….:” In
ART111. That means while stock entry the Non-keepall items qty will be updated in
BCK.

“M” type :

‘M’ Type stock areas will be minimum 2 and it can be more than that also, based on
store’s convenience.

One ‘M’ type Stock area for keepall items and second ‘M’ type stock area for Non
-Keepall items. Making a Keepall/Non-keepall ‘M’ type stock area is based on the
parameter “Keepall stock……” in ART111. If there are more than 2 ‘M’ type stock
areas the rest can be any type of stock area.

For example,

MAG- a ‘M’ type stock area is having ‘1’ for the parameter “Keepall stock….:” In
ART111. That means while stock entry the keepall items qty will be updated in MAG.

MA1- a ‘M’ type stock area is having ‘0’ for the parameter “Keepall stock….:” In
ART111. That means while stock entry the Non-keepall items qty will be updated in
MA1.
-4-

MA2- a ‘M’ type stock area is having ‘0’ for the parameter “Keepall stock….:” In
ART111. That means while stock entry the Non-keepall items qty will be updated in
MA2.

Replenishment

The replenishment will be done thru the option “70.30.43-Keepall replenishment”.

When the replenishment takes place – The movement happens from keepall ‘D’ stock
area to keepall ‘M’ stock area and Non-keepall ‘D’ stock area to Non-keepall ‘M’ stock
area. If there are more than one ‘M’ stock area, to decide to which stock are it has to
move will take help of the parameter “Priority to replenish…:” of ART111. Where
actually we can provide the values like 0 or 1or 2 or 3….

It will not consider the stock area, whose priority is having ‘0’.
While replenishment firstly it considers the stock area which has priority ‘1’ and next
which has ‘2’ and so on. This behavior is as same as for keepall and Non-Keepall stock
areas.

Note: It will go to the next priority stock area, when the movement reaches its capacity
fixed in STKARE.

Sale/Reservation: If there are several ‘M’ stock areas are available, there will be an
ambiguity for which stock area to make ‘Default stock area’ for sale. For this we will
take the help of STA006 and ART110.

For each session we will mention the Implementation zone in STA006. Now in ART110
for a particular Implementation zone we will mention the below said parameters.
