The honourable chief guest, respected guests and colleagues AOA!

Provision of this opportunity to say a few words on this special occasion and before this
august gathering is a really extremely memorable the most fortunate and honoured
moment of my life.
Once, Muhammad S.A.W visited her daughter. She told her children she had some dates
for them in the house. When they came home, the Prophet asked her to give the promised
bounty to children. “I don’t have any dates. I just persuaded them into home so that you
could meet them or else they would not come. She said. He instructed her to arrange the
promised dates as it would give them wrong education for future if the promise to them
was broken. So it shows how important the right education even to the toddlers is. Even
the totler is needed to be rightly harnessed for future. Let me share some well said
opinions of the scholars of education with you.
Herbert Spencer maintains “education speaks of the business of life and elaborates by
saying that education should produce a citizen who, at the same time s well conducted, is
also able to make his way in the world.
And ivan Illich maintains

A good educational system should have three purposes: it should provide all who want to
learn with access to available resources at anytime in their lives; empower all who want
to share what they know to find those who want to learn it from them; and finally, furnish
all who want to present an issue to the public with the opportunity to make their
challenge known.
We may have as many phrases about education as many mouths.
Howver the pandit of education agree that
"Education –is - The process of training and developing the knowledge, mind, character,
etc., especially by formal schooling."
"Education -- edification, instruction, study, schooling, direction, tutelage, training."
From cradle to kindergarten there are many lively illustrations of our little ones being
"educated." They are continually "discovering" new things. Each "discovery" can lead to
more advanced "discoveries" as the child learns about himself, his family, neighborhood,
mosques-- his whole world. Those same principles continue throughout childhood and
youth. Some "discovering" is totally informal, but the experiences of attending school are
usually more structured. The totality of this "discovering" is the heart of the
teaching/learning experiences that we call education.
One should notice that the definition of education has three key words. The dictionary
says:
"Process -- a continuing development involving many changes."
"Train -- to guide or control the mental, moral, etc. development of; bring up; rear."
"Develop -- to cause to grow gradually in some way; cause to become gradually fuller,
larger, better, etc."
These three words tell us that education, by its very nature, is more involved than at first
appearance. To the conscientious Muslim family, the process, training, and development
must be "just right." education, be they a teacher, coach, principal, baby-sitter, tutor, or
pastor. But while some may assist, the God-given responsibility cannot be given away.
Education takes work -- hard work. It is a sobering responsibility. Upon examination,
there are three basic components of education, which our school follow in the true spirit
of words
1. Development Of Intelligence. On deeper reflection it is not difficult to understand, the
development of intelligence includes three major components.
Develop A Knowledge Base. This is referred to as a student gaining a "basic education."
It includes learning the core curriculum (reading, writing, arithmetic, spelling, etc.) at the
elementary level and learning content in "academic" courses as one proceeds into and
through the secondary grades.
Develop An Ability To Reason And Think. We polish the skills of students needed to
conquer new situations and experiences. We understand every student needs to gain skill
in taking what we know and applying it to a previously unknown situation.
Develop The Talents And Abilities Of Each Student. Historically, it is noted that every
child needs a knowledge base and that every child needs reasoning and thinking skills.
But it is also acknowledged that every child is unique in the areas of talents and abilities.
We that educate are charged with developing those uniquenesses as part of the schooling
experience.
2. Development Of Character. I hope it does not require anything to be said. We will
help them develop a graceful character right from their early stages of life.
3. Development To Fit In One's Culture. We will focuss on the development of each
students’ profile and thrive it in such a way that it will enable them to be fit in their
culture effectively. They should have a sesnse of good and evil from the very beginning.
.
. As humans, we all tend to generalize based upon our own personal experiences. So
when we begin to address an issue, the issue of public education for example, our frame
of reference is usually a very personal and narrow one. We make assessments and ground
our opinions based upon our own individual experience within the public school system.
Our historical overview rarely goes beyond what our parents may have told us about their
personal experiences. Having left the public school system ten or more years earlier, we
may be re-introduced to it when we have school age children. In any event, our
generalizations are typically grounded over no more than three generations. However, in
order to understand where we are - and more importantly where we must go - requires
that we hire those who have a real experience for work. And we observe it. We see
people having done work for years but they have little experience. The real experience
does not come with the amount of time one has spent in teaching. The Real experience
comes with much mature act. Assume a teacher has worked for twenty years and did not
learn from their mistakes they are still the same teachers with six months work
experience, but on the other hand we have teachers who have worked only for five years
and they have learned from their experience and they are no more repeating those
mistakes, they are a really experienced hands. Our hiring criteriom is this for hiring staff
which will definitely benefit students.

Let us go back to the beginning; that we find out what education's original purpose was,
and how it slowly changed over the centuries to meet the changing needs of government,
industry and society. These needs continue to change today, and will tomorrow and
through the future. This is critically important if only to recognize that the institution of
public education can evolve and that, in fact, it has evolved and it must continue to
evolve.
Repeating the purpose of school education allow me to say once more that
The purpose of education is to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed
and reasonable decisions. Any other consequences should be treated as merely incidental.
The first means to this end is through the simple gaining of knowledge by memorization
of certain key facts, such as the periodic table. This is often necessary, and should not be
avoided, but too often it is seen as synonymous with learning.
But there are areas where we need to provide both features and benefits.
Simple teaching can be more dangerous and harmful in this complex ever and rapidly
changing world because it encourages the rote memorization of facts instead of
promoting an actual understanding of the subject at hand. Unfortunately, this approach to
learning is held by many, both students and teachers.
We are against this approach.
Instead we do not only impart to students knowledge but its meaning too.
Another situation that often occurs is that teachers feel a need to have students undergo
the same thinking process as themselves, and to arrive at the same conclusion in the same
way. John Holt, in his essay, ``How Teachers Make Children Hate Reading,'' explains
this as ``a game of wits. I never gave my students an opportunity to say what they really
thought about a book'' (455).
Holt describes how many teachers feel the need for students to understand each word
right away, again focusing on raw facts, rather than allowing the students to absorb
concepts as a whole. He states that ``I now began to see also that books were among the
most dangerous things in school. From the very beginning of school we make books and
reading a constant source of failure and public humiliation. When children are little we
make them read aloud, before the teacher and other children, so that we can be sure they
`know' all the words they are reading. This means that when they don't know a word, they
are going to make a mistake, right in front of everyone''
He goes on to say, ``Before long many children associate books and reading with
mistakes, real or feared, and penalties and humiliation. This may not seem sensible, but it
is natural'' (458). Tragically, instead of making learning seem natural and possibly even
pleasant, the system had destroyed any desire for education his students may have had.
Education is not simply learning things; it is learning to learn things. The clichéd proverb
about fishing and learning to fish may have suffered somewhat from overuse, but there is
truth to it.
.
The purpose of education must be to enable students to learn for themselves, not to
spoon-feed them every fact they will ever need in their lives. Such an attempt is
Herculean to the extreme and cannot succeed. Education should encourage students to
learn how to make connections between facts, and give them the ability to use this
process throughout life.
.
To wind up my speech I will simply say that
There are several purposes of education. The soul purpose of education is to educate all
students and give everyone equal opportunity as a means to succeed in life. Through
knowledge and skill, all individuals can achieve greatness. In addition, common values
such as punctuality, following rules, cooperation, learning to work and get along together
as well as a sense of responsibility are all-important factors of education. The
combinations of knowledge and skills as well as the common values will help our young
students bloom into adults and become responsible and productive citizens.
The soul purpose of our school is as
Provision of knowledge and skills needed to lead students to responsible and productive
citizenry.
The promotion of patriotism, law and order and creation of consensus and
The sociololization of the young into norm and values of society
Ladies and gentlemen very earnestly
We are striving to provide the necessary knowledge and skills.
As you all know very well and there is no second opinion that
The more knowledge and skills a person receives the better chance at achieving upward
mobility. The success of an individual depends on the amount of education he or she
attains. People who acquire more diplomas get better jobs? Education has become such
an important factor that in order to achieve upward mobility individuals will have to
peruse a sound education from very childhood. In today’s world most jobs require some
college education. Therefore, it is our aim that we educate all children with the necessary
knowledge and skills that are needed to provide base for higher education to be received
easily.
Thank you very much ladies and gentlemen
