MEMC is a global leader in the manufacture and sale of wafers and related

intermediate products to the semiconductor and solar industries. MEMC has been

a pioneer in the design and development of wafer technologies over the past four

decades. With R&D and manufacturing facilities in the U.S., Europe and Asia,

MEMC enables the next generation of high performance semiconductor devices

and solar cells. MEMC's common stock is listed on the New York Stock

Exchange under the symbol 'WFR' and is included in the S&P 500 Index. MEMC

is starting up a wafer manufacturing facility located at Kinta Free Industrial Zone,

Ipoh and we invite competent and qualified professionals to join us in our START

UP project.

BACKGROUND
In February 2008 MEMC purchased the building and the surrounding land. The building
was converted into a wafer manufacturing facility and shipped its first qualification
wafers in January 2010.  The plant is currently expanding its Epitaxial capabilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES includes:


1.1. Capacity and resource planning and projection.
1.2. Develop maintain and improve capacity model
1.3. Establish standard time and manpower requirement for new
products.
1.4. Plan & set up factory layout, include production line, material
storage
1.5. Plan production line capacity based on customer forecast
1.6. Cycle time study and optimization. Reduce non-value added
activities
1.7. Determine and improve manpower requirement/request
1.8. Productivities improvement through waste elimination, line
balancing using IE tools.
1.9. Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and
reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as reorganizing work
flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of
equipment.

 Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products
and to promote efficient utilization.
 Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information
to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
 Estimate production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design
changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control.
 Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum
efficiency using drafting tools and computer.
 Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve
production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs.
 Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design
standards.
 Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities.
 Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems

 Confer with clients, vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases,
product and production specifications, manufacturing capabilities, or project status.
