• NMC’s vision
• Its organization
• Objectives & milestones for 2011
• Financials
• Membership & Election Policy
Prologue
NMC was previously known as the Photography Club of NUST. It was renamed to NUST Media Club in an effort to
consolidate all the fundamental functions of media, namely Photography, Videography and Design.
Our Vision
NUST is one of the best in Pakistan. However, a positive self-image is crucial for us to communicate our strengths and
potential. Hence, the goal of NMC is to create and communicate a positive, up-to-date, comprehensive and
understandable image for the University. An effective effort will improve and strengthen the University’s identity with
students, alumni and the community. It will, also, increase the demand for enrollment. The club will achieve this by:
Our Mantra
To be the Sight & Sound of NUST.
Examples
Pakistani Universities
Apart from the production of films, LMA organizes and hosts various events that highlight the importance of media and serve
as outlets for innovative and productive activities. The main events are FiLUMS, the annual All Pakistan short film festival;
Olympiad, a manifold event celebrating art and media; The Intra LUMS Movie Trivia; and Film Realm, a movie trailer, music
video, scriptwriting, speed filming and photo essay competition. Not only are these events attended by the leading
universities and schools of the country and many talented individuals, but they also receive immense media coverage and
celebrity attention.
One of the most influential student societies at IBA, Media And Publications (M&P) society gives the students the power to
express - be it the force of the pen, the magic of words or the sheer intensity of audiovisuals. IBA consider M&P as not just a
club but as a service. M&P is the official media partner of all university events.
The club inculcates in its students the will to explore beyond the arena of textbooks. It is involved in holding popular events
like Multimedia Software Workshops, Movie Competitions and Game Shows. Its body consists of the Photography Club,
Desktop Publishing and the Vision Club. The Photography Club teaches the students the basic skills of photography, still
and video both, and polishes their hidden talents in this field. The Media Club is also involved in the publication of a
newsletter/magazine. This presents a useful opportunity to the students to enhance their composing and writing skills.
NMC can cover all keynotes, seminars and workshops at NUST and build a free online archive of those videos.
Video insights and interviews from the brightest minds in business. Interviews with management experts who zero in on key
business ideas and how to implement them in organizations.
NMC can interview faculty and industry leaders about their ground-breaking ideas, theories and inventions. The club can
also interview students about their projects. This will not only motivate the students to do their very best but will expose them
to real-life issues faced by the industry. Working with the industry will open doors for future employment opportunities, too.
Organization
NMC has been structured to best suit its objectives.

customers reach their creative goals. This gear will give us the support needed to achieve our objectives. In total, Rs262,500

The club will give memberships on bi-annual basis at Rs200. Club members will be given considerable discounts on all
