Sarah Louise Palin is perhaps the only politician with an extremely high celebrity status. Her life
is sometimes overly publicized; you'd often see her face on TV Born. Born in February 11, 1964,
she grew up to be an American politician, author, and a commentator for political updates.

Palin is the first female Governor of Alaska, serving three years before abruptly running for Vice
President in the 2008 US elections. She lost to Joe Biden, but her popularity even rose to a record
high.

Last year, her book, Going Rogue: An American Life, was published and immediately became a
best seller. Last January, she signed a multi-year contract with Fox News Channel as a political
commentator. Around two months later, it was announced she would be hosting her own TV
show, Sarah Palin's Alaska. She then wrote another book, America by Heart, which was
published last month.

Being married to the President of the United States did not hinder Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton
from fulfilling her own political dreams. Unlike any other first ladies, Clinton made a name of
her own and even equalled his husband's popularity.
Hillary Clinton was born on October 26, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. She has a post graduate
degree in Yale Law and was twice named as one of the 100 most influential lawyers in America.
In 1994, she became the First Lady of the United States and her role gained mixed response the
American people.

Clinton might be the most controversial First Lady the US ever had. She was subpoenaed to
testify before a federal grand jury in 1996 for her involvement in the Whitewater controversy.
Her marriage was also highly specualted when the Monica Lewinsky scandal broke in 1998.

Clinton was elected Senator in 2010, and lost to Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential
nomination race. She is now serving as the Secretary of State in the Obama administration,
becoming the very first former First Lady to hold a cabinet position.

Steve Paul Jobs is an American business tycoon, famous for co-founding Apple.

Jobs is one of the most influential people in the business industry, gaining much of his popularity
from being the CEO of multinational firm, Apple Inc. He is known for inventing or co-inventing
more than 230 awarded patents and patent applications.

Jobs was diagnosed to have islet cell neuroendocrine tumor. He temporarily left Apple to
undergo pancreaticoduodenectomy. Even in his absence of six months, Jobs was still highly
involved with "major strategic" decisions in Apple.

When he came back, Jobs proved health matters would not stop him from taking Apple to major
milestones. He was previously honored by Forbes as one of the most powerful people in the
world. There's no doubt he would again make it to this year's list.

Facebook. He holds 24% share in Facebook, which makes him one of the youngest billionaires
across the globe.

influential people of the Information Age". At such a young age, he was selected as one of most

You might be wondering why Julian Assange is in my list. His name is all over the news
recently, and he is hunted by the most powerful country in the world. I guess we can consider
that influential.

Julian Paul Assange is the founding father of whistleblower website, WikiLeaks. His popularity
rose when WikiLeaks released thousands of classified documents on the wars in Iraq and
Afghanistan. On November 2010, the website published around 251, 000 US diplomatic cables.

The cable leaks put America's diplomatic ties with other countries in jeopardy. Interpol released
an international warrant for his arrest for unrelated sex crimes. Assange denies the allegations
and claims this is part of a smear campaign against him.
In an attempt to stay up and running, WikiLeaks called upon millions of followers via Twitter to
save copies of the website's published classified documents. WikiLeaks also posted thousands of
encrypted cables serving as an "insurance" file on Julian Assange. Should anything happen to
him, the files will be released through Pirate Bay, a bittorrent site that shares its own legal woes.
